Kent Robinson Finishes Tenth in Spring 50 at Florence; Farmer City Next

Bloomington, Indiana (04/03/13) –Kent Robinson powered #7r JB's Salvage/Mastersbilt/Jay Dickens Racing Engine Super Late Model to a tenth place finish in the annual Spring 50 at Florence Speedway (Union, Kentucky) on Saturday night.

Kent Robinson entered a single event over the Easter weekend as he traveled to Florence Speedway (Union, Kentucky) on Saturday night for the annual Spring 50. Twenty-seven Super Late Models entered the $5,000-to-win program at the 1/2 mile oval, and Robinson started his night by qualifying fifth fastest. With the top four cars inverted in each heat race he started in the third position in the second heat, and with passing being difficult he would only be able to manage a fourth place finish, which locked him into the eleventh starting spot for the 50 lap finale.

In the main event Robinson raced his way into the top ten early in the feature and would go on to cross the finish line in tenth.

"It's been a tough year so far for our team, so right now a top ten finish feels really good," comments Robinson. "The pieces are all in place we are just a tick off from having everything where it needs to be, and in this business that can make all the difference. Hopefully some wins are coming soon to us."
