Johnny Pursley Announces 2013 Plans

Clover, South Carolina (12/19/12) – Just a month after completing a successful 2012 campaign, Johnny Pursley is already looking forward to the 2013 campaign, which will see him in a new ride for much of the season.

Pursley is excited to announce that he is teaming up with Donnie Crowder to pilot Crowder's #6 Mastersbilt on the Battle of the Eastern All Stars (BEAST) Super Late Model tour.

"This is a great opportunity for me," comments Pursley. "Donnie has got some great equipment, and he takes a lot of pride in his cars. We think a lot alike, and together I really think we can make some noise."

When not piloting the Crowder Motorsports entry Johnny will be behind the wheel of his family-owned #09 Mastersbilt Super Late Model on the Carolina Clash Series and at other select events. The team will utilize Clements and Custom Race Engines.

Johnny notes, "This is probably the most excited I've been to start a season in a long time. Our family team has purchased new cars and new motors. I've got to thank my Dad for making all of this possible for me to do. He works unbelievably hard to see his car run well, and I hope to give him the season that he deserves this year."

Not only is Pursley excited about 2013 because of his new racing endeavors, but early February will be a special time for Johnny and his wife, Mary Kate, as they eagerly anticipate the arrival of their first son, John Marshall Pursley III.

Johnny Pursley will tentatively begin his 2013 campaign with the BEAST tour at Gordon Park Speedway (Grovetown, Georgia) in April.
