Pro Power Racing Enjoys Successful February

Sullivan, Wisconsin (02/28/14) - The month of February found Pro Power Racing customers claiming major wins across the country in multiple divisions.

In just his third outing with a Pro Power Racing Engine under the hood of his #40 Brandon Ford/Rocket Super Late Model Kyle Bronson shocked the racing world on Saturday night, February 22nd by scoring his first-career, World of Outlaws Super Late Model win, and his first Super Late Model win in his first full year of competition in the division. Bronson earned the pole position for the $10,000-to-win, 50 lap finale via preliminary action at Volusia Speedway Park (Barberville, Florida). Kyle ran second for the first sixteen laps of the feature before charging past John Blankenship on lap 17. Once out front Bronson raced away from the field to a convincing win over the field in front of an enthusiastic and approving crowd!

Las Cruces, New Mexico racer, Johnny Scott returned to familiar territory in his Ramirez Motorsports #1s Pro Power entry on Friday night, February 21st and used experience to his advantage to score the $2,000 win. His performance in preliminary action presented Scott with the fourth starting spot for the 30 lap feature at the 3/8 mile oval. Early in the race Johnny began clawing his way forward in his new Ramirez Race Car, and he soon found himself in the second spot. Scott capitalized on a mid-race caution to race past fellow leader, Rodney Sanders on lap 19. Johnny would go on to fend away advances from Sanders over the final twelve laps to score his first win of the year in his Rancho Milagro sponsored entry.

One night after seeing his twin brother, Johnny Scott, win the weekend's opener in the Ice Breaker at El Paso Speedway Park (El Paso, Texas) Stormy Scott from Las Cruces, Texas parked his #2s Rowland Motorsports/LG2/Pro Power Racing Engine entry in victory lane for the sixth time in 2014 on Saturday, February 22nd. Stormy started 13th on the grid for the 40 lapper, and at the drop of the green flag began marching forward. Scott overcame a three wide battle for the top spot during the race's mid-stages with Jake Gallardo and Fito Gallardo to take the lead for good on lap 30 as he raced away from the field to lead the final ten laps on his way to the $3,000 victory. Scott also recorded USMTS victories on Saturday, February 15th at Royal Purple Raceway (Baytown, Texas) and on Sunday, February 9th at South Texas Speedway (Corpus Christi, Texas). Each event paid $4,000-to-win and Stormy led every lap of both features.

17-year-old, Bobby Pierce knocked down a pair of career firsts on Saturday, February 15th at East Bay Raceway Park (Gibsonton, Florida) as he claimed his first East Bay win as well as his first Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series victory in the $7,000-to-win event. Pierce won his heat race to earn the pole for the feature and went on lead all 35 laps to claim the victory in his #32 Champion Spark Plugs/Bob Pierce Race Car/Pro Power Racing Engine entry.
