Pro Power Racing Engines Starts 2014 with a Bang; Launches New Website

Sullivan, Wisconsin (02/06/14) - Even though the first month of the year has barely fallen off the calendar Pro Power Racing Engines has already seen its customers account for six feature wins.

Pro Power Racing Engines found several of its customers making the long trek to Arizona and Texas in early January to open their 2014 campaigns in the desert.

Las Cruces, New Mexico racer, Stormy Scott, led the charge as he raced to a trio of feature wins in his #2s Rowland Motorsports/LG2/Pro Power Racing Engine entry. He found victory lane at Tucson International Raceway (Tucson, Arizona) with the Championship Dirt Motorsports (CDM) Open Wheel Modified tour on January 11th, January 12th, and January 18th. Each program, which was held as a part of the 2nd Annual Winter Extreme, paid $1,000-to-win as Scott conquered a talented field of competitors in each event.

The 2nd Annual Winter Extreme found over sixty entries enter at least one Super Late Model event during the six race miniseries, and again Pro Power Racing Engines found victory lane on several occasions.

Billy Moyer Jr. from Batesville, Arkansas raced to the $5,000 victory in the second round of the miniseries in his #21jr Crop Production Services/Moyer Xtreme by Longhorn/Pro Power Super Late Model on January 12th. The victory was his second career triumph in the winter series.

Menomonie, Wisconsin pilot, Jimmy Mars, was the next competitor to put Pro Power in victory lane, when he led flag-to-flag to score the $5,000 victory on January 18th in his #28 Deppe Enterprises/MB Customs race car. With the triumph Mars increased his career win total in the annual January series to three.

Two-time USMTS National Champion, Ryan Gustin, may still be new to the Super Late Model ranks, but he looked like a veteran, when he raced to the $10,000 win in the Tucson finale on January 19th. The Marshalltown, Iowa native enjoyed the benefits of a new Pro Power Racing Engine that was flown in earlier in the week from Wisconsin. The last few events of the series marked his first races with a Pro Power piece under the hood of his #19r Gressel Racing/Rocket Chassis, and he enjoyed multiple good runs leading up to the big win.
