SALDANA AND WORLD OF OUTLAWS COMPETE IN A THREE-IN-A-ROW
MIDWEST SWING THIS WEEKEND

LASALLE, Ill. (June 24, 2013) – Joey Saldana and the World of Outlaws head into a racing trifecta this weekend beginning with a Friday, June 24 event at LaSalle Speedway, followed by a Saturday stop at Beaver Dam, Wis. and finally a Sunday event at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wis. to conclude June’s racing activities.

Saldana, driver of the Motter Equipment Fatheadz Eyewear 71M sprint car, is the defending champion at LaSalle Speedway, having won the A-Main the last time the Outlaws raced there in 2010.

“We have a really competitive car right now,” said Saldana.  “If we have a good race track with room to pass and a track where our tires can get a good grip on the racing surface, then we can run stride-for-stride with all the frontrunners.

“This is a track where we’ve won before so that gives you a level of confidence heading into the event.  Recently we’ve had good opportunities go sour and now it’s our turn
to have lady luck ride with us for a while.”

Last weekend Saldana led the race at Grand Forks, N.D. and was running a strong second when a right rear tire blew sending him on a wild ride, ultimately catapulting him into the outside retaining wall.  Fortunately Saldana did not suffer any physical injuries and was able to walk away from the accident.

“I’m not much of a bull rider,” said Saldana, “but whatever level of cowboy is in me
would rather lasso a win.  We always get pumped up to drive the 71M sprint car.  I’d drive seven days a week if I could.”

The World of Outlaws has a 90-event schedule this year, so even with a few rainouts along the way, there is plenty of seat time for Saldana.

When racing draws to a close in LaSalle, the Motter Motorsports team will drive about 170 miles north to Beaver Dam Raceway (Wis.) where Saldana has scored three victories (2003, 2010 and 2011).

The one-third mile high-banked oval is sure to provide some crowd-pleasing action.
Last year the grandstands at Beaver Dam were filled to capacity to watch the Outlaws
slip and slide, dip and dive.

“This has been a good track for us,” said the driver with the Brownsburg Bullet moniker.
“We’re looking forward to a good showing here.”

Saturday night the team will hustle north about 250 miles to conclude the month of June’s racing activities in New Richmond, Wis. at Cedar Lake Speedway.

“There aren’t too many tracks where we haven’t scored a victory,” said Saldana, “but this is one of them.  This is a unique facility that has an indoor track and a 3/8-mile high-banked clay oval outdoor facility where the Outlaws compete.

“If we can stay consistent, then maybe our persistence will pay off.

“Our sport has a lot of fans up here and that enthusiasm always amps you up just a little bit more.”

Big Game Motorsports Garners Two More Top Fives, Four Top 10s

Inside Line Promotions - FERGUS FALLS, Minn. (June 25, 2013) - For the second straight week Big Game Motorsports teammates Sammy Swindell and Craig Dollansky each earned a top five and two top 10s during World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series action.

And for the second consecutive week the Eyecon Trail Cameras car powered by Dollansky battled with the Big Game Treestands backed Swindell for position as the premier sprint car series tackled River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, N.D., on Friday to open the weekend.

Swindell set quick time in qualifying for the fourth race this season and Dollansky qualified fourth quickest. The Big Game Treestands car then powered from fourth to first in the heat race to advance to the dash, where the No. 8 was pulled during the dash draw to place Swindell on the outside of the fourth row.
Dollansky drove the Eyecon Trail Cameras car to a fifth-place finish in his heat race to qualify for the main event, which he started 11th.

"We were pretty good early in the main event," he said after finishing eighth. "We got up to fourth and was pretty good on the long run. We had a yellow with about 18 laps to go. On the restart I couldn't get going again. Then we had a red flag and pretty much my tires were done at that point. I just knew we had to finish out as strong as we could. At the end of the day it wasn't as good of a finish as we wanted, but we got out of there with a top 10."

After placing ninth in the dash, Swindell started the feature on the inside of the fifth row.

"We had a wing brace break on the sixth or eighth lap so the wing was going the wrong way," he said. "It kinda picked up the front end."

The team was able to fix the broken nose wing on a late restart, when Swindell rallied to place ninth.
"On the restart we were able to get a few positions," he said. "We should have had a top five there pretty easy. You've gotta have your stuff together when everybody else has their stuff together."
On Saturday the teammates traveled to I-94 Speedway, which hosted its first-ever World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series event.

"It's a beautiful facility," Dollansky said. "It sure would be nice to go back there in the future and race again. It's always good to race in Minnesota, close to home. The fans seemed to enjoy the show and the speed of the sprint cars."

The Big Game Treestands car qualified second quickest and the Eyecon Trail Cameras car eighth quickest. Swindell finished fourth in his heat race and Dollansky won his as both drivers advanced to the dash, where the No. 4 was drawn to start Swindell third and Dollansky sixth.

Swindell maintained his position and Dollansky picked up one spot to place fifth, starting the Big Game Motorsports teammates inside the top five for the main event.

"It had a few yellows so it took a lot of traffic away," Swindell said. "That was our only chance of doing anything. There wasn't much of that so it was pretty much wide open. We're all so close it's hard to do a lot. When we did get some traffic it'd seem like they would get them coming into the turns and I'd catch them off the turns."

In a role of reversal from the previous weekend, the Big Game Treestands car held off the Eyecon Trail Cameras car for the final spot on the podium.

"We had a pretty good night," Dollansky said after placing fourth. "We had a yellow flag with about 15 laps to go or so. It seemed before that yellow we were about to get in heavy lapped traffic. It seemed like after that restart we followed each other to the checkered flag."

The Big Game Motorsports teammates and the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series will compete in a tripleheader this weekend. On Friday, LaSalle Speedway in LaSalle, Ill., hosts its first race since 2010. Beaver Dam Raceway in Beaver Dam, Wis., will put on the 4th annual Jim "JB" Boyd Memorial on Saturday before Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wis., holds its lone event this season on Sunday.

Dover Picks Up Two Victories on Saturday at Butler County Speedway

Inside Line Promotions - RISING CITY, Neb. (June 25, 2013) - Approximately a third of the way through his season and Jack Dover is almost a third of the way to his goal of 20 feature wins.
Dover added two more on Saturday night at Butler County Speedway, where he remains undefeated in three main events this season.

"It was a really good weekend," he said. "I'm pretty happy with how the year is going."
The first of the two Nebraska 360 Sprints features on Saturday was to finish the rained out main event on May 18, when Dover was running third after two laps. The feature resumed where it left off and Dover maintained his position for most of the race.

"I ran third the whole time and with about five laps to go the second-place car's nose wing fell down," Dover said. "His car popped a wheelie coming out of the corner and I kinda made contact with him. He flipped and there was a red flag. I made some adjustments to the car and was able to fly around the top side of (turns) one and two and get around the leader."

Dover charged to the lead on the restart and powered to a decisive victory - his fifth of the season.
During the full race program, Dover qualified third quickest and charged from fourth to win his heat race, which locked him in the dash.

"We were able to get up to second on the first lap," he said. "About halfway through the heat race we got around the leader and pulled away."

After placing second in the dash, Dover started on the outside of the front row for the 30-lap feature.
"We took the lead right away," he said. "Somebody said we lapped clear up to seventh. The car was working awesome. The race track was pretty wide. You could run high, run low or throw sliders. I was right up against the fence the whole time."

The win was his sixth of the season in 15 races this season.

Dover has a busy week scheduled beginning on Wednesday at Jackson Speedway in Jackson, Minn., for the Spring Sprint Car Nationals. He will then race on Friday at U.S. 36 Raceway near Cameron, Mo., with the ASCS Warrior Region before a Nebraska 360 Sprints event at Junction Motor Speedway in McCool Junction, Neb., on Saturday.

Mark Burch Motorsports Earns Runner Up at Knoxville Raceway

Inside Line Promotions - KNOXVILLE, Iowa (June 25, 2013) - A return to Knoxville Raceway on Saturday yielded another podium for Mark Burch Motorsports and driver Danny Lasoski.
Lasoski led the first 21 laps of the 25-lap midseason championship night feature before traffic allowed Mark Dobmeier to capitalize. The duo then put on a masterful performance in the closing laps with Dobmeier edging Lasoski by two car lengths.

"It was really frustrating," Lasoski said. "Mark Burch gave me a great car that could go anywhere. Anybody could have driven that car with ease."

After starting on the pole, Lasoski built a sizeable lead before a handful of cautions slowed the pace. However, each restart he powered away from the other cars until traffic bit him in the end. A lapped car disrupted his rhythm entering turn one on Lap 22, which allowed Dobmeier to close the gap.
The duo raced nose to tail down the backstretch before Dobmeier executed a slide job in turns three and four to take the lead.

"You can't blame traffic for not winning," he said. "They are out there trying to race, too. It's the leader's job to get by them."

Lasoski stayed within striking distance and dove to the bottom groove in turn one on the final lap - a move that was blocked by Dobmeier. Lasoski slid up the track, but closed to the bumper of Dobmeier entering turn three. However, both drivers went to the cushion and Dobmeier held on to the win by a couple of car lengths.

"He did exactly what he should have done as the leader," Lasoski said. "That's what any driver in that situation, including myself, would have done."

Lasoski opened the night by qualifying ninth quickest and he maneuvered from fourth to second in his heat race. He earned the pole of the main event when the inversion was the No. 8.

Mike Pegher Jr. Passes 100 Win Milestone, Firecracker 100 Up Next!

Wexford, PA (June 25, 2013) The Geisler Racing Team and young gun Mike Pegher Jr. picked up wins number 100 and 101 this past weekend as the team traveled with the newly formed Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC RUSH Dirt Late Model Touring Series this past weekend June 21 and 22 as they made appearances at Hagerstown (MD) Speedway and Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex in Markleysburg, PA for the 'Mid-Atlantic Triple Crown' weekend presented by RainEater Wiper Blades.

On Friday night, Pegher started from the seventh position at Hagerstown Speedway, had the lead on lap five and never looked back in a dominating performance that earned him his 100th career win dating back to his teenage years in the Stock Cars in the western Pennsylvania circuit!  The victory was worth $2,000 and propelled Pegher into the Sweeney Tour point lead for the first time by two points as he became the Series' first repeat winner of 2013.

'It's pretty badass to get win #100 here,' acknowledged the 27-year-old Wexford, Pa. standout.  'I was never here before until the last time.  It's a pretty cool track and was a lot of fun to come back here.  We were loose the last time here and spent more time on the scales during the week.  It means a lot to win 100 races, but it sure isn't all about me.  I'm just the driver- it's the guys in the shop Mike Brunner and my car owner Lynn Geisler.'

One night after a dominating performance at Hagerstown Speedway for his milestone 100th career win, Mike Pegher, Jr. added another $2,000 to his stellar weekend holding off the hard charging Super Late Model star Jared Hawkins at the Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex for his third Sweeney Tour event win of the season.

'I kept watching the scoreboard and seen Jared (Hawkins) was coming,' said the 27-year Wexford, Pa. victor.  'I knew the outside was probably getting faster around the cushion so I chanced it and took it the outside for the final restart.  It was a good race and I'm glad to be back up here again.  I have to thank Mike Brunner for all the time and work he put in at the shop this week, all my sponsors, and car owner Lynn Geisler.'

After Mike's successful weekend behind the wheel of his #1 Cochran crate late model, Pegher Jr., will climb behind the wheel of the famous #1 Cochran super late model as the World of Outlaws Late Model Series makes their annual appearance at Lernerville Speedway for the 7th Annual 'Firecracker 100' presented by GottaRace.com. The weekend will kick off with two separate $6,000 to-win events on Thursday, June 27 and Friday, June 28 and will be capped by the huge $30,000 to-win 'Firecracker 100' on Saturday, June 29.
