“Words can’t describe what this win means to me,” an emotional David Breazeale said in victory lane. “My car was down for the weekend with a part’s failure, and the Henderson family stepped up and let me drive Leon’s car. The Hendersons have supported me in so many ways for several years, and I can’t thank them enough for this opportunity. It’s just unreal.”

Powering the Henderson Motorsports #10 Super Late Model, David Breazeale returned to Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Mississippi) on Friday for the two-day 22nd Annual Coors Light Fall Classic. Riley Hickman Claims Unprecedented, Fourth-Straight SAS Title

Cleveland, Tennessee (10/25/16) – On Saturday night Riley Hickman put the wraps on his unprecedented fourth-straight Southern All Star (SAS) Dirt Racing Series title in his Hickman Manufacturing #R1 CVR Super Late Model.

Hickman joins Clint Smith as the only other four-time series champion.

Competed in the NASCAR Weekend doubleheader, Riley Hickman made the trek to Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Alabama) on Friday night, where he took part in both the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series event and the $2,000-to-win, unsanctioned Super Late Model event. Competing against a field of 50 NeSmith Dirt Late Model Series entries, Hickman landed a 5th-place finish in the opening night A-Main, trailing Cory Hedgecock, Ronnie Johnson, Jason Hiett, and Jake Knowles across the finish line.

The Super Late Model division would not be as kind to Hickman as a part failure relegated him to a 16th-place finish on Friday night.

Returning on Saturday to compete in both his Crate and Super Late Model, Hickman laid down the fastest time in a field of 46 Crate Late Models, putting him on the pole for the NeSmith Dirt Late Model Series A-Main. Losing a right-front tire on lap 30, Riley fell back to a 19th-place finish in the 50-lapper.

In the Super Late Model division, Riley registered the fastest time again in a field of 42 Super Late Models, securing his spot in the main event. Battling for a $4,000 payday in the feature, Riley Hickman notched a 3rd-place finish behind Derek Ellis and Michael Page with Jonathan Davenport and Todd Morrow rounding out the Top 5. His finish allowed him to become the SAS champion for the fourth year in a row.

“It was definitely an up-and-down weekend for us at Talladega, but I’m proud to claim another Southern All Star title,” noted Hickman. “I want to thank Brad [Carvin] for always busting his tail to keep my cars ready. I also want to thank my family and my sponsors for always standing behind me.”

Swindell Eager for World Finals This Weekend at The Dirt Track at Charlotte

Inside Line Promotions - SALINA, Okla. (Oct. 24, 2016) - Sammy Swindell and the Blazin' Racin' team are right on track entering the Bad Boy Off Road World of Outlaws World Finals this weekend.

The team will venture to The Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, N.C., this Thursday through Saturday for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series season finale fresh off a pair of learning nights with the Outlaws last weekend.

"We're still trying to sort a few things out of where they are at and what we need to do," Swindell said. "We'd like to have been more competitive than we have, but we have solved a couple of things. We made a couple of improvements from Eldora and we were able to gain from the whole night last Friday onto Saturday. That's the progress of trying to work together and learn everything that you need to do to have a better car."

Last weekend began on Friday at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kan., for the O'Reilly Auto Parts Rumble on the River. Swindell qualified 12th quickest overall before placing fifth in a heat race.

"We went out a little early and it seemed the track got a bit better," he said. "We were off a little, but when everyone is real close it doesn't leave much room for error. We were having some trouble with the motor cutting out at times. I felt like I had a spot once in the heat race and then we had that issue."

That lined Swindell up on the inside of the seventh row for the main event.

"The car was tight starting the race and then the track started to go away as the fuel burned off," he said. "It made it to where our car was better at the end than a lot of people. We ran most of the race just a little way behind (Donny) Schatz. He probably didn't have his best night, but it wasn't like we were out to lunch."

Swindell maneuvered to an eighth-place result, which was his best World of Outlaws finish in limited action since March.

The weekend concluded on Saturday at Salina Highbanks Speedway for the O'Reilly Auto Parts Twister Showdown. Swindell timed in 17th quickest during qualifying before he posted a sixth-place result in the heat race. That locked him into the 17th starting position for the feature.

"On the start of the race the guy in front of me hit the brakes at the flag stand so I went around him," he said. "I got stuck in the middle of the corner and lost a bunch of spots. That fouled us up when we got in the wrong place. I worked my way through a few cars. We had a restart and someone didn't go and the guy behind me turned me around. I didn't even make it to the flag stand so I had to go to the tail. We passed quite a few cars again, but when you start that far back it wasn't long before the leaders got there. (Daryn) Pittman got by and I saw where he was running so I was able to follow some of those guys and was staying with them the rest of the race. The setup was really close. It was the best we've had it so far."

Swindell rebounded from both incidents to score a 14th-place finish.

"Thanks to Todd, Susan and Greg for the opportunity," he said. "We're making progress so hopefully that all comes together this weekend at the World Finals."

Swindell captured the first-ever World of Outlaws race at The Dirt Track at Charlotte in 2000 and he also won a World Finals feature in 2012.

Sides Heading to World Finals Fresh Off Back-to-Back 12th-Place Finishes

Inside Line Promotions - SALINA, Okla. (Oct. 24, 2016) - Jason Sides is hoping to close the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series with a strong performance this weekend at the Bad Boy Off Road World of Outlaws World Finals.

Sides and the Outlaws will cap the 2016 season this Thursday through Saturday at The Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, N.C., where his best finish has been a runner-up result.

"Of course everyone wants to go win the race," he said. "Hopefully we can earn a strong top five and a pair of top 10s to close the Outlaws season."

Sides enters the event ranked ninth in the World of Outlaws championship standings. He has earned 27 top 10s this season and was hoping to add to that total last weekend in the Midwest, where Sides ended 12th both nights during a World of Outlaws doubleheader.

The action began on Friday at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kan., for the O'Reilly Auto Parts Rumble on the River. Sides qualified ninth quickest overall before he advanced a position to finish third in a heat race. That lined him up on the inside of the fourth row for the main event.

"We were good the first few laps and they had a caution," he said. "The restart didn't go as planned, but we got back by a car or two. Then we had a long red and I'm not sure if that sealed the tire up or what, but after that point I fell back a bit. We had another restart and I got put to the outside lane and it was like being behind a semi in a smart car. It shook all the way down the straightaway and when we got to the corner it didn't want to turn. We lost a spot or two there. We were just holding on at the end."

Sides closed the night with a 12th-place finish.

He wrapped up the weekend on Saturday at Salina Highbanks Speedway for the O'Reilly Auto Parts Twister Showdown. Sides timed in 13th quickest, finished fifth in a heat race and advanced from 13th to 12th in the main event.

"We just kind of maintained," he said. "The top came in pretty good. The bottom went away in turns one and two. We left the setup alone thinking the track would stay heavy and it was a little too free from Lap 6 or 8 on.

"We wanted to get a couple of top 10s last weekend and didn't so hopefully we can produce some good results this weekend at the World Finals."

Big Game Motorsports and Lasoski Riding Momentum From Podium at Atomic Into World Finals

Inside Line Promotions - CHILLICOTHE, Ohio (Oct. 24, 2016) - Big Game Motorsports is heading into the final event of the season fresh off a podium finish.

The Muddy sponsored team, which is slated to compete this Thursday through Saturday at The Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, N.C., for the Bad Boy Off Road World of Outlaws World Finals with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series, captured a third-place result last Saturday at Atomic Speedway during the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions season finale.

"The race track definitely had character," Big Game Motorsports driver Danny Lasoski said. "We came away with a top three, but we definitely had a better race car. It was a deal where we had to make sure we made it to the checkered flag. It was a fine line between disaster and victory."

The event opened with Lasoski qualifying 17th quickest overall, which ranked third best in his group.

"We drew a really good number," he said. "The guys in front of us were running the bottom. We hooked a bunch of holes and both laps weren't that good. The latter part of qualifying they started blowing the top off and it was quicker."

Lasoski then won a heat race after starting on the outside of the front row. That locked him into the 12th starting position for the main event.

"I think we could have won if we had long green-flag runs, but we'd run a few laps and have a caution or red," he said. "Every time they'd pack the top down where it was like a freeway for a few laps."

Lasoski maneuvered to a third-place finish, which was the Muddy backed team's 23rd top five of the season and provides momentum entering the marquee event this weekend in North Carolina.

"I'm very, very excited," he said. "Guy (Forbrook) has prepared a great race car. We have Brian Morrison horsepower. Hopefully they have the race track wide so we can put that horsepower to the ground."

Lasoski earned a World of Outlaws victory at The Dirt Track at Charlotte in 2001.

Starks Sweeps Inaugural World Short Track Championships for 11th Win

Inside Line Promotions - CONCORD, N.C. (Oct. 24, 2016) - Trey Starks produced about as dominating of a weekend as he has enjoyed in his career.

Starks, who was driving for Jeff McCall, swept the USCS Series portion of the World Short Track Championships last Friday and Saturday at The Dirt Track at Charlotte, where he won for the first time to give him 11 victories at 11 different tracks this season.

"I'd say we made quality laps every time we were on the track this weekend," he said. "We had a successful practice day (on Thursday). We seemed to be pretty good every time we hit the track. We started out good by qualifying good. We laid down a good lap. That sets up your whole weekend."

Starks, who was quickest in hot laps by nearly a quarter of a second, set quick time during qualifying on Friday. He then maneuvered from fourth to win a heat race and lock himself into the scramble.

"By that time the track slicked off considerably," he said. "I knew I had to get in the top four in the heat race to get in the scramble. We got the lead a couple of laps in and I started searching to see what we needed later. It turned out the scramble was run the next day."

Starks started the scramble on the pole and won it to open Saturday's finale.

"It was a fun 12 laps," he said. "The track was the best it was for the sprint cars to race on all weekend."

That gave him the pole position for the 25-lap main event.

"With the track being slick and abrasive I knew I needed to hit my marks and stay smooth and try to conserve my tires as much as I could," he said. "We had the car dialed in so I knew I needed to make sure I didn't make any mistakes."

Starks led the distance of the feature as he was never challenged for the lead en route to his fourth USCS triumph of the year. It provides plenty of momentum entering the Bad Boy Off Road World of Outlaws World Finals with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series this Thursday through Saturday at The Dirt Track at Charlotte.

"The whole team worked great all weekend," he said. "Having 300-plus cars all weekend the track took some abuse.
