New Longhorn Chassis Available for Purchase

Trinity, NC (September 23, 2013) - Earl Pearson Jr. and Bobby Labonte Race (BLR) worked hard in the shop on Thursday, September 19 to prepare for two days of racing on the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS). BLR was scheduled to race at Florence Speedway on Friday, September 20 and Brownstown Speedway on Saturday night.
Pearson was ready to take the wheel of his No. 44 Longhorn Chassis following a fantastic showing at the World 100 where he finished seventh out of 110 cars. However, for about the 10th time this year, Mother Nature had other plans other than racing Friday night. The LOLMDS officials had to call off the race at Florence Speedway due to persistent rain showers. Due to scheduling and the season coming to an end, the race at Florence Speedway will not be made up.
Pearson and the BLR team were ready to race Saturday night at Brownstown after having a week off from racing. Pearson and his No. 44 Lucas Oil Longhorn Chassis won Heat No. 2 in remarkable fashion. The win allowed Pearson to start third in the feature among the 46 cars on hand for the $15,000 to win 100-lap feature. Pearson raced hard during the 100 laps finishing with a respectable 10th-place finish; his 20th top-10 of the 2013 season.
"I'm extremely happy with the way the car performed tonight," said Pearson Jr. "We keep having strong finishes each week and improving. I'm proud of how hard everyone is working."
The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series heads to Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, IA for the 10th annual Knoxville Nationals presented by Casey's General Stores with action on the track September 26th-28th. SALDANA AND OUTLAWS MAKE LAST MIDWEST APPEARANCE OF THE SEASON AT FREMONT SPEEDWAY

FREMONT, Ohio (Sept. 23, 2013) – After an unscheduled weekend off, Joey Saldana and the World of Outlaws drivers are planning to return to action Saturday, Sept. 28
at Fremont Speedway.

“Mother Nature knocked out both nights of racing this past weekend, and I’ve got an itchy throttle foot,” said the Brownsburg Bullet, Joey Saldana.  “We’re getting down to a little more than a handful of races before the season ends.

“Our Motter Equipment Beltline Body Shop Fatheadz Eyewear team is gaining a lot of consistency recently and we really enjoy getting out there.  We feel we are always in contention to be a front runner and that’s a great position to be in.  I wish this was the beginning of the season instead of the end.”

The one-third semi-banked Fremont Speedway oval is one of the few dirt tracks that has softwalls.  Installed in 2002, Fremont was one of the first dirt track facilities to install these safety enhancements.

This Saturday will mark the sixth time the Outlaws have competed at Fremont.  The inaugural event was held in 1990 and racing continued through 1993.  There was one WoO event in 2011.

“This will be our last Midwest race of the season,” said the Bullet, “and we hope rain doesn’t come back to haunt us.  After this we head East and then we end the season in Charlotte early in November.  We’re looking to add another victory or two to our Chico win earlier this month.”
