Bobby Labonte Racing Gains Top-10 at World 100
Pearson Jr. and BLR Take Week Off from Dirt Racing

Trinity, NC (September 9, 2013) - Bobby Labonte Racing (BLR) left the race shop in Trinity, N.C. Wednesday headed for Eldora Speedway and the prestigious World 100 on Saturday, September 7. Prior to the World 100, fans were able to see cars on the track Thursday and Friday nights during Twin 25 lap features.

Pearson Jr. and the No. 44 Longhorn Chassis had spectacular runs at Eldora Speedway, a track that in the past has not been friendly to the BLR team. On Saturday night, Pearson Jr. and the No. 44 Lucas Oil Longhorn chassis were among 110 other entrants looking for one of the most sought after trophies. Pearson Jr. drove the Longhorn chassis from ninth place in his respective heat race to a second-place finish. The BLR team would start the 100 lap World 100 feature in eighth place, looking to move forward and stay out of trouble. The No. 44 Longhorn Chassis, with Pearson Jr. at the wheel, ran as high as fourth before crossing the finish line with a respectable seventh-place finish in the World 100.

"Great night of racing in the Longhorn Chassis, I'm very happy with our finish tonight in the World 100," said Pearson Jr. "We have a week off this weekend, but it will be busy in the shop for the guys as we prepare to finish the season strong."

The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) takes this weekend off and will return to action on Friday, September 20 at Florence Speedway and Saturday, September 22 at Brownstown Speedway. The World 100 was not part of the LOLMDS Championship points; therefore, Pearson Jr. remains fourth place, 590 points out of first place. About Longhorn Chassis
Longhorn Chassis was founded in 2010 by NASCAR Champion Bobby Labonte, along with his brother and two-time NASCAR Champion, Terry Labonte. After numerous successful seasons as a Dirt Late Model team owner with driver Earl Pearson Jr., Labonte decided to take it one step further with his racing operations and the team started building their own race cars, in shop. The first two late model chassis built out of Longhorn Chassis went to Justin Labonte and the house car, driven by Earl Pearson Jr. Pearson would debut his Longhorn Chassis at the North/South 100 in Florence, Ky., where he finished a solid second, he'd later record Longhorn Chassis' first Victory at the 2010 Dirt Track World Championships at West Virginia Motor Speedway. With just a couple of racing season under their belts, and numerous wins, Longhorn Chassis has already proven its strength and ability on the track.
