Bobby Labonte Racing Captures Two Top-15 Finishes
Remains Fifth in Championship Standings

Trinity, NC (July 16, 2013) - Bobby Labonte Racing (BLR) and Earl Pearson Jr. are in the midst of a two-week swing in the mid-west on the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) circuit. Pearson Jr.'s No. 44 Lucas Oil Products Longhorn Chassis was dialed in the last few races, which had the team excited about its chances on Friday night at Tri-City Speedway and on Saturday night at Lucas Oil Speedway.
On Friday night at Tri-City Speedway, Pearson Jr. finished second in Heat 4 behind Jimmy Owens. This allowed Pearson Jr. to transfer to the feature with an eighth-place starting position. The BLR team worked hard but came up short in a few necessary changes. The No. 44 Longhorn chassis came across the line in 12th.

"We just didn't get the car tweaked exactly right tonight," said Pearson Jr. of his finish at Tri-City Speedway. "We'll get back at it tomorrow night."

The BLR team and Pearson Jr. were ready for Saturday night racing at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, MO. The fourth heat race didn't go as Pearson Jr. had hoped; he finished third, which gave him a 16th-place starting spot among 26 cars. Everyone on the BLR team knew that Pearson Jr. had a stout car, so when Pearson Jr. took the wheel in the feature, his eyes were set on the front. Pearson Jr. drove a great race and came from 16th to finish fourth in the No. 44 Lucas Oil Longhorn Chassis.

"That was a great race. I'm so happy to have a fourth-place finish after starting back that far (in 16th)," stated Pearson Jr. "The guys worked really hard to come back from last night and it showed. Thank you to all the fans that came out and watched."

BLR remains on the road and will race Tuesday, July 16 at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kan., then head to Hamilton County Speedway on Wednesday, July 17.  Pearson Jr. remains in fifth place in Lucas Oil Championship Point Standings, 205 points out of first place. About Longhorn Chassis
Longhorn Chassis was founded in 2010 by NASCAR Champion Bobby Labonte, along with his brother and two-time NASCAR Champion, Terry Labonte. After numerous successful seasons as a Dirt Late Model team owner with driver Earl Pearson Jr., Labonte decided to take it one step further with his racing operations and the team started building their own race cars, in shop. The first two late model chassis built out of Longhorn Chassis went to Justin Labonte and the house car, driven by Earl Pearson Jr. Pearson would debut his Longhorn Chassis at the North/South 100 in Florence, Ky., where he finished a solid second, he'd later record Longhorn Chassis' first Victory at the 2010 Dirt Track World Championships at West Virginia Motor Speedway. With just a couple of racing season under their belts, and numerous wins, Longhorn Chassis has already proven its strength and ability on the track.
