LEXINGTON 104 SPEEDWAY GIVES NeSMITH CHEVROLET WRS A WEST TN TRIO

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

CARTERSVILLE, GA – The signing of Lexington 104 Speedway in Lexington, TN gives the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series a West Tennessee trio of sanctioned tracks for the 2013 season.  Lexington 104 Speedway now gives West Tennessee dirt late model racers a Friday night track to go with Clayhill Motorsports in Atwood, TN and Camden Speedway in Camden, TN, that will alternate on Saturday nights.

Drivers in the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Late Division at Lexington 104 Speedway will now have the opportunity to compete for both a weekly point fund and a National point fund against drivers at other sanctioned tracks using a points system that counts their best 14 weekly point totals during a 27-week season that runs from March 24 through September 28.

The Top 10 drivers in the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series point standings at the end of the season will divide up a $20,000 National point fund.  The 2014 NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series National champion will pocket $10,000.

“The addition of Lexington 104 Speedway to the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series as a Friday night track could very well play an important role in the 2014 $10,000 National Championship for several drivers,” NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Director Roby Helm said.  “By working with both Clayhill Motorsports in Atwood, TN and Camden Speedway in Camden, TN, Lexington 104 Speedway will give drivers an additional opportunity to earn National points.”

The 2013 season saw several area drivers, including Ricky Waggoner of Martin, TN, Jeff Glisson of Boaz, KY, Ronnie Cooper of McKenzie, TN and T.J. Hays of Bradford, TN, contend for the $10,000 NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Championship even though they only competed one night per week for the most part.

The dirt late model race cars in the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series are powered by the economical Chevrolet Performance Crate Engines that are built and sealed at the factory to prevent any expensive modifications.  There are two engines to choose from, the 400 horsepower aluminum-head 604 engine for $5,195 and the 350 horsepower steel-head 602 engine that gets a 100-pound weight break.

Both of these engines are in stock and available for free next day delivery anywhere in the Southeast from NeSmith Chevrolet in Claxton, GA.  To place an order call Tim Bland at 1-877-497-3624.
