CAMDEN SPEEDWAY ADDS NeSMITH PERFORMANCE STREET STOCKS FOR 2016

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

CARTERSVILLE, GA – Camden Speedway in Camden, TN has added the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division to its 2016 weekly racing line up, joining the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Late Models that have been the track’s top Division for the past two seasons. Camden Speedway joins a family of tracks across the country that will share the same Street Stock rules under the NeSmith banner.

Drivers in the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division at Camden Speedway will compete for both a track point fund and a National point fund. In competing for the National NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division point fund, Camden Speedway drivers will compete against drivers at other NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division tracks throughout the country.

The 2016 NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division season for National points will be for 27 weeks from March 21, 2016 through September 25, 2016. During the 27-week season, a driver’s best 14 weekly point totals will count towards their National total. The $5,000 NeSmith Performance Parts National point fund will pay $2,000 to the National Champion and pay back ten spots in the final point standings.

The NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division also gives competitors economical options with both engines and chassis. NeSmith Street Stock competitors have the option to compete with a replica frame that features the same dimensions and weight as a 1988 Chevrolet Monte Carlo metric frame.

NeSmith Street Stock competitors also have the option of using the $3,495 Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine, which is quickly becoming the engine of choice due to its price, ease of accessibility and maintenance, and durability. Eight of the top ten drivers in the 2015 NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division point standings, including the top four drivers, were using the Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine.
