JOINER WINS NeSMITH PANHANDLE CHALLENGE SERIES FINALE AND CHAMPIONSHIP

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

                MILTON, FL – Joseph Joiner of Milton, FL celebrated his 2015 NeSmith Panhandle Challenge Series Championship with a win in the season finale on Saturday night at Southern Raceway driving the Three Trade Consultants Special.  The victory was Joiner’s third of the season and gave him a season total of 663 points with 13 top five finishes and 14 top ten finishes in 14 races.

                Cody Smith of Holt, FL drove the Smith’s Performance Rocket to a second-place finish on Saturday night and third went to Taylor Jarvis of Milton, FL in the Myers Yacht Sales Special.  Richie Beasley of Terry, MS was fourth in the Byram Home Center CVR and Josh Huss of Flomaton, AL rounded out the top five in the Huss Racing Warrior.

                James Gilmore of Milton, FL in the Gilmore Racing Special finished sixth and Kyle Bryant of Navarre, FL drove the A.K. Moyer Construction GRT to a seventh-place finish.  Adam Cummings of Odenville, AL took the eighth spot in the Cummings Racing GRT and Chris Rutherford of Milton, FL was ninth in the Rutherford Racing Special.  Todd Jones of Milton, FL rounded out the top ten in the Jones Racing Special.

                Bryant finished second in the NeSmith Panhandle Challenge Series point standings with 579 points after one top five finish and 12 top ten finishes in 14 races.  Gilmore finished third in the standings with 521 points after three top five finishes and 11 top ten finishes in 12 races.  Huss finished fourth with 481 points after seven top five finishes and ten top ten finishes in 11 races.

                Mark Clifton of Brewton, AL finished fifth in the 2015 NeSmith Panhandle Challenge Series with 471 points after driving the Carboline Special to three wins, nine top five finishes and ten top ten finishes in ten races.  Smith finished sixth in the standings with 379 points after three wins and seven top five finishes in nine races.

                Kevin Maher of McDavid, FL finished seventh in the standings with 306 points after four top five finishes and six top ten finishes in seven races driving the Maher Motorsports GRT.  Bo Slay of Milton, FL in the Slay’s Machine Service GRT was eighth in the NeSmith Panhandle Challenge Series standings with 295 points after five top ten finishes in seven races.

                Tracey Sutton of Flomaton, AL finished ninth in the standings with 272 points after five top five finishes and six top ten finishes in six races driving the ASM Recycling Special.  Brandon Hood of Fort Deposit, AL rounded out the top ten in the NeSmith Panhandle Challenge Series standings with 263 points after five top ten finishes in six races driving the D&K Precast Trak-Star.

                The 2015 NeSmith Panhandle Challenge Series was a 14-race series contested at three different race tracks, Southern Raceway, Flomaton Speedway in Flomaton, AL, and Northwest Florida Speedway in Baker, FL.
