CHEVROLET PERFORMANCE SUPER LATE MODEL SERIES ADJUSTS 2013 SCHEDULE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

CARTERSVILLE, GA – The Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series has made an adjustment to its 2013 schedule, as the $3,000-to-win $300-to-start West Chevrolet 50 at Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, TN will be run on Sunday, September 22. The West Chevrolet 50 will now be the finale of a three race weekend.

The Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series will begin the triple-header on Friday night, September 20 at Boyd’s Speedway in Ringgold, GA with the $3,000-to-win $300-to-start Mountain View Chevrolet 50. The second race will be the $3,000-to-win $300-to-start Volunteer Chevrolet 50 at 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, TN on Saturday night, September 21.

Qualifying for the West Chevrolet 50 took place on Saturday night, August 17 when Tim Busha of Boaz, AL set fast time honors with a lap around the 1/3-mile high-banked clay oval in 11.594 seconds in the Kilpatrick Racing GRT. The top six qualifiers were on the track and set to run their Dash on August 17 when rain began to fall forcing postponement of the event.

Busha, second quick qualifier and Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series point leader William Thomas of Phenix City, AL will start on the front row of the Dash when action for the West Chevrolet 50 resumes at Tazewell Speedway on September 22.

Matthew Turner of Dawsonville, GA, Richie Stephens of Phenix City, AL, Brent Barrett of Cleveland, MS, and David Brannon of Elora, TN qualified third through sixth respectively, and will line up in the second and third rows for the Dash.
