BUDDY ROGERS MEMORIAL 44 AT THE TAZ NEXT UP FOR THE CHEVY SUPER SERIES

CARTERSVILLE, GA – The next event for the Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series will be the $4,400-to-win Bubby Rogers Memorial 44 at Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, TN on Sunday night, August 31. It will be the second appearance of the season for America’s first “Factory Backed and Factory Built” super late model series.

National Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame Inductee Ronnie Johnson of Chattanooga, TN is in a tight point battle with Tyler Crowder of Lamont, FL going into the fifth round of the 2014 Chevy Super Series season. The 2014 Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series Champion will receive $10,000 out of the series point fund.

Johnson has 392 points after two wins, and two second-place finishes in the first four races of the 2014 Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series season, while Crowder has 376 points after a second-place finish, two third-place showings, and a fourth-place effort. One of Johnson’s two wins this season has come at the “Bad Fast Taz” on June 14.

Chase Edge of LaFayette, AL leads the 2014 Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series Rookie of the Year point battle by just ten points over Jadon Frame of Winchester, TN. Edge is sixth overall in the standings with 316 points, while Frame is eighth overall with 306 points.
