NeSMITH CHEVROLET DLMS RETURNS TO ACTION WITH 3 EAST TENNESSEE RACES IN TWO DAYS

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

CARTERSVILLE, GA – The NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series returns to action this weekend when they waltz into East Tennessee for a three race dance at two tracks. The first stop will be at Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, TN on Friday night for a 40-lap $2,000-to-win race, then travel to 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, TN for two races on Saturday night.

The 2nd Annual $4,000-to-win J.T. Kerr Memorial 40 that was stopped by rain on June 1 with 14 laps completed, will be finished at 411 Motor Speedway on Saturday night when the final 26 laps will be run.

After that, the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series will compete in a complete new show, the $2,500-to-win Old Smoky Moonshine 50 Presented By Parkside Liquor Store on the same night at 411 Motor Speedway. If a single driver can sweep all three races that would be a two night payday of $8,500.

The NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series traveling competitors will be facing some tough East Tennessee local competition in the three-race, two day East Tennessee Swing. Leading the charge for the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series will be point leader Ronny Lee Hollingsworth of Northport, AL, who will be looking for his sixth win of the 2013 season.

National Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame Inductee Ronnie Johnson of Chattanooga, TN is second in the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series point standings with one win, and trails Hollingsworth by ten points. Kyle Bronson of Brandon, FL is third in the standings and also leads the Rookie of the Year point standings with one win.

Justin McRee of Cottondale, AL is fourth in the standings and has two NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series win this season. Tait Davenport of Benton, KY is fifth in the point standings and took his first win of the season last time out for the series on July 27 at Clayhill Motorsports in Atwood, TN.

The sixth through tenth-place drivers respectively in the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series point standings that will travel to East Tennessee this weekend are Johnny Stokes of Columbus, MS, Rookie of the Year candidates Josh Adkins and Brent Barrett, the defending NeSmith Chevrolet DLMS National Champion Matthew Turner of Dawsonville, GA, and Michael Blount of Sumrall, MS.

Other NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series regulars expected on Friday night at Tazewell Speedway and on Saturday night at 411 Motor Speedway are two-time National Champion David Earl Gentry of Murfreesboro, TN, Ronnie Cooper of McKenzie, TN, Marcus Minga of Shannon, MS, and Todd Morrow of East Ridge, TN.

A tough contingent of East Tennessee favorites includes Adam Beeler of Knoxville, TN, John Cobb of Loudon, TN, Cory Hedgecock of Loudon, TN, Hunter Best of Maryville, TN, defending champion of the J.T. Kerr Memorial 40 Chris Wilson of Crossville, TN, Mack McCarter of Sevierville, TN, Matt Henderson of Loudon, TN, and Brett Wyatt of Crossville, TN.

Beeler will lead the field back to the green flag to resume the J.T. Kerr Memorial 40 on Saturday night at 411 Motor Speedway to begin the final 26 laps followed by Cobb, Johnson, Morrow, Hedgecock, Best, Stokes, Bronson, Wilson, and McCarter in the top ten. There will be 17 cars on the lead lap.

On Friday night, the Tazewell Speedway pit gate will open at 4 p.m. and NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Pre-Race Registration and Technical Inspection will be from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. The Drivers Meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. with hot laps to follow.

On Saturday night at 411 Motor Speedway, the pit gate opens at 3 p.m. with NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Pre-Race Registration and Technical Inspection from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. The Drivers Meeting is set for 5 p.m. and Hot Laps are scheduled for 5:15 p.m.

Race fans are invited to meet the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series drivers and the Old Smoky Moonshine Girls at an Autograph and Photo Session from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Qualifying for the Old Smoky Moonshine 50 Presented By Parkway Liquor Store will take place after Hot Laps, and then it will be the resumption of the 2nd Annual J.T. Kerr Memorial 40. Once that race is completed, the B-Main Races for the second race will be run followed by the Old Smoky Moonshine 50 Presented By Parkway Liquor Store.
