NeSMITH/AR BODIES STREET STOCK DIVISION WEEK 19 ROUND UP

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

CARTERSVILLE, GA – While NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division Presented By AR Bodies point leader Richie Stephens of Salem, AL took a weekend off for Week 19 completion, there was plenty of movement behind him in the point standings.  With each passing week of the 27-week season, the list of National Championship contenders gets smaller.

Stephens has a best 14 week total of 698 points, just two points away from a perfect 14 week total of 700 points.  In the remaining eight weeks of the 2015 NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division season, Stephens needs a 50-point win in two weeks of competition by netting on two 49s top reach 700 points.

That would make Stephens the first driver in the three-year history of the NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division to earn a perfect score.  Stephens has 16 wins, 12 of which are counted in his best 14, 20 top five finishes and 21 top ten finishes in 25 races driving the Rocketman Race Cars Chevrolet powered by a $3,495 Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine.

Branden Harris of Molino, FL did not net any points after he finished 15th in the Mississippi Street Stock Series co-sanctioned race on Saturday night at Flomaton Speedway in Flomaton, AL in the Coastal Engine and Machine Chevrolet powered by a $3,495 Chevrolet Performance Circle Track Engine.  Harris remains second in the NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division standings with a best 14 week total of 679 points after six wins, 14 top five finishes and 16 top ten finishes in 19 races.
