NeSMITH/AR BODIES STREET STOCK DIVISION WEEK 14 PREVIEW

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

CARTERSVILLE, GA – Two big money races co-sanctioned by the Mississippi Street Stock Series will highlight NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division Presented By AR Bodies Week 14 action this weekend.  There are seven races in five states on the NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division schedule of events that marks the halfway point of the 2014 season.

The Mid-Season Nationals co-sanctioned by the NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division and the MSSS are a pair of $1,000-to-win races that will take place on Friday night at Hattiesburg Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS and on Saturday night at St. Tammany Raceway in Lacombe, LA.

Hattiesburg Speedway will present the Dixie 50 paying $1,000-to-win on Friday night, and with special bonus money, a driver could win as much as $2,000.  The track will pay $10 for each lap led, and a $500 Bonus to the driver that leads the race at the halfway point on lap 25.  There will also be a special “Black Flag” race for non-qualifying drivers to the main event.

The St. Tammany Raceway race on Saturday night will feature a higher than normal purse for the NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division/MSSS co-sanctioned events.  The race winner will pocket $1,000 and the race will pay $100-to-start.

A large car count is expected for both events and the entry list will be led by the current MSSS point leader Trey Bright of Coker, AL, who is also the defending NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division National Champion.  Another favorite will the current NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division co-point leader Jeremy Idom of Hattiesburg, MS.

There will be several other NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division Week 14 races on the schedule.  Northwest Florida Speedway in Baker, FL will be in action on Friday night.  Saturday night Week 14 races will be held at Jackson Motor Speedway in Jackson, MS, Poplar Bluff Speedway in Poplar Bluff, MO, Southern Raceway in Milton, FL, and Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL.

Idom shares the NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division point lead with David Windham of Florala, AL with 568 points apiece.  Idom reached his point total in 12 weeks of racing, while it took Windham 13 weeks to get there.  Idom also has the tie-breaker advantage with eight wins to one for Windham.
