GREENVILLE SPEEDWAY JULY 12-13 NeSMITH CHEVROLET DLMS EVENTS NOW TWO RACES

CARTERSVILLE, GA – NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series and Greenville Speedway officials have changed the July 12-13 event at the ¼-mile gumbo clay oval in Greenville, MS from a two-day $5,000-to-win show to a pair of races for the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Touring Division. The two races will be a part of the Rumble On The Gumbo Nationals.

On Friday night, July 12, the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Touring Division will compete in a 40-lap $2,000-to-win race at Greenville Speedway, and then come back on Saturday night, July 13 with a 50-lap $2,500-to-win event. The two-race Rumble On The Gumbo Nationals are scheduled to be Rounds 14 and 15 of the 2013 NeSmith Chevrolet DLMS Touring Division season.

The race was originally scheduled to be the $5,000-to-win 3rd Annual Rumble On The Gumbo 75 for this past April, but the event was rained out and rescheduled three times before landing on the July 12-13 dates. Series and track officials decided the two-race format would be a better scenario during the summer months.

The two-race weekend format also gives competitors another opportunity to score points towards the $20,000 NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Championship, or a spot in the Top 10 of the point standings in an effort to earn some cash out of the $50,000 point fund.

The Econo Lodge at 3080 U.S. Highway 82 East in Greenville, MS is the Official NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Host Hotel for the Rumble On The Gumbo Nationals at Greenville Speedway. The Econo Lodge will offer NeSmith Chevrolet DLMS fans and competitors a special discount rate of $42.00 per night.

Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL will host a $2,000-to-win 40-lap race on July 3, then it’s a $2,500-to-win 50-lap event at East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, AL on July4.

Penton Raceway in Penton, AL will present the third race of the Salute To America Nationals with a $2,000-to-win 40-lap race on July 5, and Green Valley Speedway in Glencoe, AL will have the Salute To America Nationals finale for the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Touring Division with a $2,500-to-win 50-lap race on July 6.
