NeSMITH/AR BODIES STREET STOCK DIVISION WEEK 12 ROUND UP

                CARTERSVILLE, GA – The NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division Presented By AR Bodies point leader Richie Stephens of Salem, AL set a new record on Saturday night with his seventh straight win at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL driving the Rocketman Race Cars Chevrolet powered by a $3,495 Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine.

                Stephens’ tenth win of the season broke a two-year-old NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division record of six straight wins set by Roger Flynn of Denham Springs, LA in 2013.  Stephens began his seven-race winning streak on May 22 at Hattiesburg Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS.

Stephens then followed that up with NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division wins at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS on May 23, Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, MS on May 29, Talladega Short Track on May 30, Hattiesburg Speedway on June 5, and Talladega Short Track on Saturday night.  Stephens’ win streak includes three-in-a-row at Talladega Short Track.

Stephens now has 530 points after ten wins, 12 top five finishes and 13 top ten finishes in 15 races over 11 weeks. Even with all of the success Stephens has had this season in the NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division, the points system for the 27-week season has kept things close, as Stephens only has a 19-point lead over the second-place driver.

Brandon Harris of Molino, FL is second in the NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division standings with 511 points after driving the Coastal Engine and Machine Chevrolet powered by a $3,495 Chevrolet Performance Circle Track Engine to his fourth win of the season on Saturday night at Flomaton Speedway in Flomaton, AL.  Harris has four wins, nine top five finishes, and ten top ten finishes in 11 races over 11 weeks.

Jason Jarrell of Hattiesburg, MS is third in the standings with 475points after six top five finishes and nine top ten finishes in 12 races over 11 weeks of NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division competition.  Jarrell finished sixth on Saturday night at Southern Raceway in Milton, FL driving the Jarrell Rigged Race Cars Chevrolet powered by a $3,495 Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine.

Larry Faulk of Monroeville, AL drove his Faulk Motorsports Chevrolet powered by a $3,495 Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine at a third-place finish on Saturday night at Flomaton Speedway to move up to the fourth spot in the NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division standings with 448 points.  Faulk has one win, six top five finishes and 11 top ten finishes in 12 races over ten weeks.

Bo Bailey of Milton, FL is fifth in the NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division standings with 446 points after one win and nine top five finishes in ten races over ten weeks of competition.  Bailey drove the L&L Construction Services Chevrolet to a fourth-place finish on Saturday night at Southern Raceway.

Jay Geddie of Ellisville, MS, David Williamson of Seminary, MS, and Brooks Strength of Raymond, MS did not compete in NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division Week 12 action, and dropped to sixth, seventh, and eighth respectively in the point standings.  Geddie has 407 points after four top five finishes and nine top ten finishes in nine races over nine weeks in the Geddie Tree Service Chevrolet.

Williamson has 401 points after six top five finishes and seven top ten finishes in nine races over nine weeks in the Sauls Farm Ford.  Strength has 398 points after five wins and 11 top five finishes in 11 races over eight weeks driving the Sauls Farms Chevrolet powered by a $3,495 Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine.

Bubba McGhee of Atmore, AL drove the MEC Trucking Chevrolet to a sixth-place finish on Saturday night at Flomaton Speedway to move up into the Top 10 of the NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division point standings for the first time this season.  McGhee is ninth in the standings with 396 points after three top five finishes and seven top ten finishes in ten races over nine weeks of competition.

John Smartt of Manchester, TN did not compete in NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division Week 12 action, but he rounds out the Top 10 of the standings with 386 points.  Smartt has three wins, eight top five finishes and nine top ten finishes in nine races over nine weeks driving the Frontline Race Cars Chevrolet powered by a $3,495 Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine.

In other NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division Week 12 action, Skeeter Redmon of Marianna, FL drove the Strictly Performance Race Cars Chevrolet powered by a $3,495 Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine to his second win of the season on Saturday night at Southern Raceway.  The Friday night Week 12 race scheduled for Hattiesburg Speedway was rained out.
