NeSMITH CHEVROLET DLMS OFFICIALS ADD ONE AND MOVE ONE FOR SALUTE TO AMERICA NATIONALS

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

CARTERSVILLE, GA – NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series made the Salute To America Nationals a four-race mini-tour today by adding one race and moving another. Arkadelphia Speedway in Bremen, AL will take the July 5 date, and Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, MS will move to July 6.

The four-race Salute To America Nationals for the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Tour will be begin on Thursday night, July 3 with a 40-lap $2,000-to-win race at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL. The second race will be at East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, AL on Friday night July 4 with a 50-lap $2,500-to-win event and a spectacular Fireworks show.

The Arkadelphia Speedway race on Saturday night, July 5 will be 40-laps and $2,000-to-win, and the Magnolia Motor Speedway race on Sunday night, July 6 will be 50-laps and pay $2,500-to-win. The four races that make up the Salute To America Nationals will be Rounds 12, 13, 14 and 15 of the 2014 NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series season.

The Salute To America Nationals was a four-race mini-tour on the 2013 NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series schedule, but all four events were rained out. This season, the Fourth of July Holiday series was a three race series that included TST, EAMS and Penton Raceway in Penton, AL. On Monday, Penton Raceway officials informed NeSmith Racing officials that they were cancelling their event.

Magnolia Motor Speedway originally took Penton’s July 5 date yesterday, but today, Arkadelphia Speedway desired to be a part of the Salute To America Nationals. So, NeSmith Racing officials shuffled the deck to give Arkadelphia Speedway a spot in the line-up. The move to Sunday for The Mag also fixes a scheduling conflict they would have had with Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS.

There was a lot of positive anticipation for the four-race Salute To America Nationals last season from both fans and competitors, but that was followed by a huge disappointment for everyone when rain washed out all four races.

By adding Arkadelphia Speedway with TST, EAMS and The Mag to make a four-race Salute To America Nationals, NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series officials are hopeful the enthusiasm shown for last season’s four-race extravaganza will return for this year’s edition.
