Ronny Lee Hollingsworth of Northport, AL won three of the five races at Bubba Raceway Park and leads the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series championship standings with 300 points.  National Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame Inductee Ronnie Johnson of Chattanooga, TN is second with 288 points after one win at BRP, and Rookie of the Year point leader Kyle Bronson of Brandon, FL also had a BRP win and is third in the standings with 284 points.

After competing this weekend in Mississippi, the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Touring Division will travel to Boyd’s Speedway in Ringgold, GA for Round 9 of the 2013 season for a $2,000-to-win 40-lap event on Friday night, May 31.  Jeff Smith of Rocky Face, GA is the defending race champion at Boyd’s Speedway.

The $4,000-to-win 2nd Annual J.T. Kerr Memorial 40 will take place on Saturday night, June 1 at 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, TN.  Round 10 of the 2013 NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series season will honor Legendary East Tennessee race car driver and racing businessman the late J.T. Kerr won the 1993 411 Motor Speedway NASCAR Championship and was a Regional NASCAR Weekly Racing Series runner-up at the age of 63.  He has also won numerous championships and races at several tracks throughout the Southeast, and was a pioneer in the volume buying racing equipment and aftermarket racing parts business.

The defending NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series National Champion Matthew Turner of Dawsonville, GA suffered a work-related shoulder injury last month, but is ready to go for the next five races.  Turner will be looking to race his way back into the Top 10 of the series point standings.
