NeSMITH PERFORMANCE PARTS STREET STOCK DIVISION ROUND UP FOR APRIL 29

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

                CARTERSVILLE, GA – Jerrod Fremin of Montz, LA finished seventh in the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division race on Friday night at Jackson Motor Speedway in Jackson, MS driving the Fremin Racing Chevrolet to stay on the top of the point standings for the third straight week. 

Fremin has 211 points after one win, four top five finishes, and five top ten finish in five starts.  Fremin now has a 12-point lead in the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division standings, and also has a new challenger in the second spot.

Kevin Spears of Fayette, AL drove the Bass Sports Online.com Chevrolet powered by a $3,195.00 Chevrolet Performance 602 Crate Engine to his third NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division win of the season on Saturday night at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS.  Spears is second in the standings with 199 points after three wins and a second-place finish in four races.

Chad Hiers of Ocean Springs, MS is third in the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division standings with 195 points after a 39-point second place finish on Saturday night at St. Tammany Raceway in Lacombe, LA driving the Hiers Construction Chevrolet.  Hiers has two top five finishes and four top ten finishes in five races.

Trey Bright of Coker, AL is fourth in the NeSmith Performance Street Stock Division standings with 192 points with two wins, three top five finishes, and four top ten finishes in four races driving the AKA Cores Chevrolet.  Bright finished second on Friday night at Jackson Motor Speedway.

Dave Nations of Raymond, MS drove the Street Stock Set Up Specialists Chevrolet powered by a Chevrolet Performance 602 Crate Engine to a fourth-place finish on Friday night at Jackson Motor Speedway and is fifth in the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division standings with 191 points after one win, three top five finishes and four top ten finishes in four starts.

Roger Flynn of Denham Springs, LA remains perfect in 2013 NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division competition after taking his fourth win in his fourth start on Friday night at Jackson Motor Speedway driving the Flynn Racing Chevrolet.  With three 50-point wins and one 40-point win in four starts, Flynn is sixth in the standings with 190 points.

Wayne Medders of Morton, MS is seventh in the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division standings with 185 points.  Medders finished second on Saturday night at Whynot Motorsports Park and has two top five finishes and four top ten finishes in five races driving the Medders Construction Chevrolet.

Stacy Herron of Kiln, MS is eighth in the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division standings with 167 points after two top five finishes and three top ten finishes in four races driving the S&B Contracting Chevrolet.  Brandon Leftwich of Meridian, MS is ninth with 160 points after a third-place finish on Saturday night at Whynot Motorsports Park, his second top five finish in four races.

Eddie Willis of Saucier, MS took his first NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division win of the season on Saturday night at St. Tammany Raceway driving the Willis Racing Chevrolet to move up to the tenth spot in the standings with 159 points.  Willis has a 40-point win, two top five finishes, and three top ten finishes in four races.

Saturday night NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division action at Moulton Speedway in Moulton, AL was rained out.  A total of 116 different drivers have earned points in the first five weeks of NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division competition.
