NeSMITH/AR BODIES STREET STOCK DIVISION WEEK 2 ROUND UP

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

                CARTERSVILLE, GA – Bill Stewart of Carriere, MS finished second on Friday night at Hattiesburg Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS to take over the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division Presented By AR Bodies point lead driving the DGF Race Cars Chevrolet after Week 2 competition. 

                In two races during the first two weeks of NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division competition, Stewart has one win and a second-place finish to total 99 points, and holds a three-point lead over Kevin Whittington of Brandon, MS. 

Whittington drove the Ergon, Inc. Chevrolet to a second-place finish from the 19th starting spot on Saturday night in the NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division feature race at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, MS.  In two races in the first two weeks of the 27-week 2015 season, Whittington has a pair of top five finishes to total 96 points.

Jason Jarrell of Hattiesburg, MS also has a pair of NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division top five finishes to tally 93 points and the third spot of the point standings driving the Jarrell Rigged Race Cars Chevrolet powered by a $3,495 Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine.  Jarrell finished fifth on Friday night at Hattiesburg Speedway.

Clint Vaughn of Odenville, AL drove the Vaughn Racing Chevrolet powered by a $3,495 Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine to the win on Saturday night at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL.  The win, along with a top ten finish in Week 1 NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division action, brought Vaughn’s point total up to 92 points and the fourth spot in the points.

Richie Stephens of Salem, AL and Jay Geddie of Ellisville, MS share the fifth spot in the NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division point standings with 90 points apiece.  Each driver has one top five finish in the first two weeks of the season.

Stephens finished 14th on Saturday night in the NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division race at Magnolia Motor Speedway driving the Rocketman Race Cars Chevrolet powered by a $3,495 Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine.  Geddie took the fourth spot on Friday night at Hattiesburg Speedway in the Geddie Tree Service Chevrolet.

David Windham of Florala, AL, Larry Faulk of Monroeville, AL, and Branden Harris of Molino, FL are locked in a three-way tie for the seventh spot in the NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division standings with 87 points apiece.

Windham has two top five finishes in the first two weeks of NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division competition including a 40-point win in the Florala Pharmacy Chevrolet powered by a $3,495 Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine.  Windham finished fourth on Saturday night at Flomaton Speedway in Flomaton, AL.

Faulk also has a pair of top five finishes in the Faulk Motorsports Chevrolet powered by a $3,495 Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine.  Faulk finished third on Saturday night at Flomaton Speedway.  Harris drove the Coastal Engine and Machine Chevrolet to a second-place finish on Saturday night at Flomaton Speedway for his second top five finish of the season.

Cole Cameron of Hattiesburg, MS rounds out the Top 10 in the NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division standings with 85 points after two top ten finishes in two races.  Cameron finished seventh on Friday night at Hattiesburg Speedway driving the Cameron Motors Chevrolet powered by a $3,495 Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine.

In other NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division Week 2 action, Bill Pulliam of Ovett, MS drove the Crosby Tugs Chevrolet to the win Friday night at Hattiesburg Speedway.  Kevin Mitchell of Pensacola, FL was the winner on Saturday night at Flomaton Speedway. 

Mike Lane of Pace, FL took his second NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division win of the season on Saturday night at Southern Raceway in Milton, FL driving the Rocketman Race Cars Chevrolet powered by a $3,495 Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine. 

Brooks Strength of Raymond, MS took the NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division win on Saturday night at Magnolia Motor Speedway driving the Sauls Farm Chevrolet.  Duck River Raceway Park in Wheel, TN did not report their NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division Week 2 results.
