NeSMITH PERFORMANCE PARTS STREET STOCK DIVISION WEEK 2 PREVIEW

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

                CARTERSVILLE, GA – Week 2 of the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division season will see a full slate of action at all five sanctioned tracks.  Two tracks, Jackson Motor Speedway in Jackson, MS and Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS will team up for a Friday-Saturday Mini Series with bonus cash up for grabs.

                Jackson Motor Speedway will open the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division Week 2 action on Friday night with opening event of the two-race Sauls Farms I-20 Challenge with a $600-to-win race.  The Sauls Farms I-20 Challenge then moves to Whynot Motorsports Park on Saturday night with the Bubby’s Home Furnishings $800-to-win race.

                The NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division driver with the best two-race point average will pick up a $300 Bonus from Sauls Farms.  If a driver can win both races, that’s a possible payday for the weekend of $1,700.  The two events will be co-sanctioned with the Mississippi Street Stock Series.

                Also in action with Saturday night NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division Week 2 races are Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, MS, Moulton Speedway in Moulton, AL, and St. Tammany Raceway in Lacombe, LA.

                Roger Flynn picked up a Week 1 victory last Saturday night at St. Tammany Raceway and leads the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division point standings going into the Week 2 competition.  Jarrod Fremin is second followed by Chad Hiers in the third spot, Eddie Willis is fourth, and Donnie Ellis round out the top five.

                Drivers that race at NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division tracks compete against each other through a points system that counts a driver’s best 14 weekly point totals during the 27-week season that runs through September 29.  The 2013 NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division champion will pocket $2,000 and the National point fund pays back to the Top 10 drivers at the end of the season.
