ADAM MARTIN – CHEVROLET PERFORMANCE SUPER LATE MODEL SERIES ROOKIE OF THE YEAR

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

CARTERSVILLE, GA – Second generation driver Adam Martin of Talladega, AL is the 2015 Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series Cruise With The Champions Rookie of the Year, adding another title to his long list of racing accomplishments and to the family racing legacy.

With that title etched on his racing resume, Martin is ready to begin the next step of his career this Saturday night for the 2016 season opener for the Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series at 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, TN featuring a $3,000-to-win 50-lap main event.  Martin started his season off on the right foot last year at 411 Motor Speedway.

Martin qualified fifth fastest in the 2015 Chevy Super Series season opener at 411 Motor Speedway on March 21, 2015.  Martin had a fast race car early in the race and he took the lead on lap 11.  Martin led the race for 24 laps before another driver passed for the lead.

That driver was none other than Ronnie Johnson of Chattanooga, TN who had started 23rd and he went on to win the race.  Martin had to settle for third, but not a bad start to begin the 2015 Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series season and his quest for the 2015 Cruise With The Champions Rookie of the Year title.

In 2015, Martin drove the Seals Insurance Special powered by a Chevrolet Performance CT525 Engine to the fourth spot in the 2015 Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series National point standings.  In eight races Martin turned in two top five finishes, six top ten finishes, and he led 25 laps of competition.

Prior to competing with the Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series, Martin competed with the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series at his home track, Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL, driving a dirt late model powered by a Chevrolet Performance 604 Circle Track Engine.

Martin was the 2008 NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series National Champion.  Martin is the son of Super Dirt Late Model veteran Ross Martin, who won the 2013 Ice Bowl at Talladega Short Track powered by a Chevrolet Performance CT525 Engine.  Ross Martin joined his son in the Top 10 of the 2015 Chevy Super Series points with a ninth-place effort.
