NeSMITH PERFORMANCE PARTS STREET STOCKS PRESENTED BY AR BODIES GOES TO NEXT LEVEL FOR 2014

CARTERSVILLE, GA – The NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division Presented By AR Bodies is ready to advance to the next level for 2014 with 11 tracks in five states signed on for the second season. The points season for the $2,000 National Championship begins on March 24, but most tracks will be hosting either/or Practice sessions and Pre-Season races between now and then.

Drivers will have the opportunity to earn points over a 27-week season that runs through September 28. Their point totals will be based on their best 14 weekly point totals. The $5,000 point fund will pay back through the Top 10 positions at the end of the season.

For the second straight season, the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division Presented By AR Bodies will co-sanction events during the National points season with the Mississippi State Street Stock Series.

The inaugural season for the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division Presented By AR Bodies in 2013 exceeded any and all expectations not only in participation, but in the quality of the racing. Several of the series’ drivers stepped up on the national stage and received well deserved recognition.

Trey Bright of Coker, AL won the first NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division Presented By AR Bodies National Championship after a tight point battle with Kevin Spears of Fayette, AL, Calvin Cook of Pace, FL, Roger Flynn of Denham Springs, LA, and Adam Cheeks of Guntown, MS.

Beginning this Saturday night, Smokey Harris Speedway in Haleburg, AL will have an open practice session, and Pre-Season racing action for the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division Presented By AR Bodies will take place this Saturday night at St. Tammany Raceway in Lacombe, LA, Southern Raceway in Milton, FL, and Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL.

Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS will host NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division Presented By AR Bodies Pre-Season action with the $1,500-to-win Battle of the States Race on March 14-15. On March 15, Poplar Bluff Speedway in Poplar Bluff, MO and Smokey Harris Speedway will host Open Practice sessions. St. Tammany Raceway and Talladega Short Track will also have Pre-Season races on March 15.

March 21 will see Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, MS having an open practice session, and Poplar Bluff Speedway will host Pre-Season racing for the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division Presented By AR Bodies.

March 22 will be a busy night for the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division Presented By AR Bodies with Pre-Season racing action at Magnolia Motor Speedway, St. Tammany Raceway, Southern Raceway, and Talladega Short Track.

The first 2014 NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division Presented By AR Bodies National points race will be on March 28 at Hattiesburg Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS. Jackson Motor Speedway in Jackson, MS will host an open practice session on March 28.

Season opening 2014 NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division Presented By AR Bodies National point races on March 29 will happen at St. Tammany Raceway, Southern Raceway, Talladega Short Track and Whynot Motorsports Park. Flomaton Speedway in Flomaton, AL will host an open practice session for the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division Presented By AR Bodies on March 29.

Jackson Motor Speedway will present their first NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division Presented By AR Bodies National points race on April 4. On April 5, NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division Presented By AR Bodies point races will be held at Flomaton Speedway, Magnolia Motor Speedway, Poplar Bluff Speedway, and Smokey Harris Speedway.

A reminder that all Street Stock drivers competing at NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division Presented By AR Bodies sanctioned tracks must be Members by March 28 in order to compete. Drivers are encouraged to fill out their Membership Forms and pay their $50 Annual Membership Fee before the points season begins on March 28.

There are two convenience ways for NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division Presented By AR Bodies drivers to complete their Membership Forms and pay their Annual Membership Fees: The Membership Forms are available to be printed out online at www.nesmithracing.com. They can be filed out and sent to the series’ office along with a check or money order, or the Membership Forms will be available and Membership Fees can be paid at the sanctioned tracks during Pre-Season events.
