Cartersville, GA - NeSmith Weekly Racing Series officials are excited to announce an expansion to two new facilities in the Cornhusker State of Nebraska - Junction Motor Speedway in Sutton, NE and Lexington Raceway in Overton, NE. The new additions will give NeSmith Weekly Racing Late Model competitors a Saturday and Sunday opportunity to earn National points in addition to the current Friday night programs at Salina Speedway in Salina, KS. "This expansion will offer more races for drivers in the Kansas, Nebraska, and Colorado area to earn National points. The track promoters there have been great to work with and we look forward to building upon this relationship for a bright future," stated NeSmith Racing CEO Mike Vaughn.

Drivers that compete in the NeSmith Weekly Racing Series run for a $10,000 to win National Championship, as well as compete for their local track points funds as well. The Weekly Racing season kicks off on the Week of March 20th, and goes 27 weeks through the Week of September 24th, 2017. During that 27 week period, a driver's best 14 finishes will count towards their season total in the National Championship.

Delmar Friesen, owner and promoter of Junction Motor Speedway, expects nothing but the best at his facility as you can tell upon first sight. The addition of the NeSmith sanction to the Late Model division affords competitors uniform rules that help keep costs down, and provides action packed racing for fans. Junction Motor Speedway features a wide 3/8ths of a mile, semi banked, gumbo clay surface that produces competitive side-by-side racing. Junction Motor Speedway runs Weekly Racing event on Saturday nights. For more information about Junction Motor Speedway please visit their official website www.JunctionMotorSpeedway.com.

Lexington Raceway Promoter Stan Jeffries is excited about the NeSmith Late Model sanctioning. "We are currently running Late Models, but with the addition of the NeSmith sanction all of the cars will now be on a level playing field with uniform engines and Hoosier tire rules. The rules package that the NeSmith Late Models utilize puts the race back into the hands of the driver and in car setup. We look forward to the competitive racing that this will provide for our fans and competitors," stated Jeffries. Lexington Raceway is located at the Dawson County Fairgrounds in Overton, NE where the y host Sunday night Weekly Racing events.
