COMP Cams Super Dirt Series Sets Sights on 3rd Annual Rockabilly

Beebe, Arkansas (06/03/13) – After losing an event at Diamond Park Speedway last weekend to Mother Nature the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) now turns its attention to this weekend's 3rd Annual Rockabilly weekend, June 7th-8th, at Northeast Arkansas Speedway (Harrisburg, Arkansas).

Mother Nature reared her ugly head last weekend putting a damper on the scheduled plans for the CCSDS competitors as well as their wicked tight point's battle.

2012 Kuntz & Co. Rookie of the Year, Robert Baker from Bryant, Arkansas leads the points be a mere two markers over Clarksdale, Mississippi' competitor, Ross Camponovo, and four points over Kyle Beard from Trumann, Arkansas. Timothy Culp and Ashley Newman are tied for fourth with Chandler Petty, Jon Kirby, Tommy Surrett, Clay Fisher, and Jack Sullivan rounding out the current top ten in the standings.
The top ten will be joined by a talented cast of expected competitors including Jon Mitchell, Brandon Smith, Keith Lawson, Keith Craft, Lynn Beach, Kenneth Jackson, Justin Asplin, and many more.

The Kuntz & Co. Rookie of the Year standings are being led by Ashley Newman over Drew Armstrong, Joseph Long, Lynn Beach, and Jake Davis.

The tour now turns its attention to Northeast Arkansas Speedway (Harrisburg, Arkansas) for the 3rd Annual Rockabilly on June 7th and 8th. On Friday, June 7th the 3rd Annual Rockabilly 33 will be contested, which will pay $1,500-to-win and $200-to-start. The top four finishers in the feature will lock into the Allen Manufacturing Dash on Saturday evening, which will determine the starting order for the front two rows in Saturday night's finale. Josh Massey with Allen Manufacturing is graciously sponsoring a $600 purse for the pole sitter's dash with the winner getting $250, second place receiving $150, while third and fourth each get $100.

On Saturday, June 8th the 3rd Annual Rockabilly 45 will headline the program. Except for the four cars locked into the feature from Friday's program, the balance of the field will again contest a complete program will be capped by a $3,000-to-win/$300-to-start finale.
