Billy Moyer Racing Travels East for Four High-Profile Events

(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS)  Billy Moyer and his famed #21 team traveled to the states of Kentucky and Missouri on August 23-24 for a pair of $5,000 to win MARS DIRTcar Series and UMP DIRTcar Series co-sanctioned clashes.  On Friday night at the Paducah International Raceway in Paducah, Kentucky, Billy ran third in heat race action, which locked him into the inside of the fifth row for the start of the 'USA World 50.'  Unfortunately, the Batesville, Arkansas Hall of Famer blew out a tire during the 50-lapper and was relegated to a disappointing fourteenth place effort.

At the Federated Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Missouri on Saturday evening, another $5,000 winner's check was up for grabs in the annual 'John Mannlein Memorial.'  Billy won his heat race in preliminary action and later rolled off from the outside of the second row in the 40-lap main event.  The popular driver known as "Mr. Smooth" then recorded a fifth place performance at Pevely, as he crossed underneath the checkers behind only race winner Jason Feger, Bobby Pierce, Randy Korte, and Wendell Wallace.  Full results from the double-dip can be viewed online at www.marsracingseries.com.

The Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) team will now set their sights on four huge Dirt Late Model events in Ohio, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania over the busy Labor Day holiday weekend (August 30-September 2).  A trio of Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series showdowns will kick things off on Friday at the Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio ($10,000 to win), on Saturday at the Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio ($15,000 to win), and on Sunday at the I-77 Raceway Park in Ripley, West Virginia.  The 45th Annual ‘Hillbilly 100’ on Sunday boasts a hefty $25,000 top prize.

On Monday, September 2, the dirt-slinging action will shift to the Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex in Markleysburg, Pennsylvania for another round of National Dirt Racing League (NDRL) competition.  Billy comes into the $20,000 to win ‘Let’s Get Dirty 75’ at Roaring Knob second in the inaugural NDRL point standings – only four markers behind point leader Jimmy Mars.  You can learn more about all four races over Billy’s Labor Day weekend by pointing your web browser to www.lucasdirt.com and www.thendrl.com.
