Wendell Wallace Eyes Beebe and Pevely this Upcoming Weekend!

(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Wendell Wallace and his #88 Dirt Late Model team traveled literally down the road to the nearby Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas on August 20-22 for the 18th Annual 'Topless 100.' The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series presided over the nation's premier topless event and a whopping $40,000 top prize was on the line. Wendell timed in third quickest in his group during qualifying on Friday night and later ran second in his stacked heat race to earn the eleventh starting spot in the 'Topless 100.'

After consolation races were completed on Saturday evening, Mother Nature invaded the area and the 100-lapper was pushed back to Sunday afternoon. On a sun-drenched racetrack, tire management and pit strategy were the keys to the race, as each driver was forced to pit at least once for new rubber. Wendell unfortunately had problems in the first half of the race and eventually retired after completing only 44 circuits. He was credited with a disappointing twenty-third place finish in the SPEED Channel-taped crown jewel event. Following the extended weekend at Batesville, the Wendell Wallace Autosports team will travel to the Beebe Speedway in Beebe, Arkansas and the I-55 Raceway in Pevely, Missouri over the August 27-28 weekend. The MSRA Super Late Model Series will sanction a $2,000 to win showdown tonight at Beebe, while a $5,000 to win MARS DIRTcar Series/ UMP DIRTcar Series co-sanctioned event will take place on Saturday at Pevely. Billy Moyer Racing Travels to Paducah and Pevely this Weekend!

(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Billy Moyer, of Batesville, Arkansas, traveled down the road to the nearby Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas from August 20-22 for the 18th Annual 'Topless 100.' The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series once again sanctioned the nation's premier topless event, which boasted a hefty $40,000 winner's check. Billy started off the weekend by posting the twelfth fastest lap in his group during qualifying on Friday night and later running fifth in heat race action. When the action resumed at BMS on Saturday evening, Billy won his B-Main to earn a coveted starting spot in the 'Topless 100.'

Following the completion of consolation races, Mother Nature invaded the area and rain pushed back the 100-lapper until Sunday afternoon. On a sun-drenched racetrack on Sunday, Billy started the 'Topless 100' from the outside of the tenth row. With tire wear a major issue, "Mr. Smooth" made his way up inside of the top ten at one point before retiring after completing only 87 circuits. The Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) team will venture to the states of Kentucky and Missouri this upcoming weekend (August 27-28) for a pair of MARS DIRTcar Series / UMP DIRTcar Series co-sanctioned showdowns.
