Billy Moyer Collects $10,000 for World of Outlaws Triumph in Home State!

(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS)  Billy Moyer racked up his fourth feature win of 2014 on Saturday evening, March 29 at I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Arkansas!  The World of Outlaws Late Model Series roared into the Razorback State oval to preside over a single-day showdown and 39 Super Late Model competitors rolled through the pit gate.  Billy started off his night by laying down the third quickest lap in Group B during time trials prior to scoring a heat race triumph over Frank Heckenast, Jr., Tim McCreadie, and Jared Landers.

After drawing the sixth starting position before the 50-lap main event, Billy put on a clinic in front of his home state fans.  He made several nice moves to vault to the front, eventually grabbing the top spot on lap nineteen.  The Batesville, Arkansas Hall of Famer then led the remainder of the distance to claim the $10,000 winner's check over Darrell Lanigan, Shane Clanton, Tim McCreadie, and Shannon Babb.  Billy now owns 2014 victories with all three national touring series - National Dirt Racing League, Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, and World of Outlaws Late Model Series - before the calendar turns to April!  Full results from Little Rock can be viewed by clicking on www.woolms.com.

"It is nice to get a win so close to home," exclaimed Moyer, who resides about an hour and a half away from I-30 Speedway.  "There aren't a lot of big-time, sanctioned shows in Arkansas, so to get a win like that is pretty cool.  Everyone at Billy Moyer Racing has been working so hard on these new Longhorn cars and I was able to make some moves out there that you just can't make unless your racecar feels good.  Hopefully, we can have another couple of strong runs decently close to home this weekend before heading back out on the road with the National Dirt Racing League."

Looking to continue their winning ways, the #21 BMR team has circled a pair of Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series events for this upcoming weekend (April 4-5) in the states of Mississippi and Louisiana.  Billy will vie for the $10,000 top prize on Friday night at Jackson Motor Speedway in Jackson, Mississippi and on Saturday evening at Ark-La-Tex Speedway in Vivian, Louisiana.  The popular driver known as "Mr. Smooth" has already notched a pair of LOLMDS triumphs in 2014, as he reached victory lane twice at East Bay Raceway Park in Gibsonton, Florida during the annual 'Winternationals' back in February.  Additional information concerning this weekend's tilts can be found by pointing your web browser to www.lucasdirt.com.

Dennis Erb, Jr. Survives Thaw Brawl for $15,000 Windfall; Huge Lucas Oil Triple Shot Ahead!

(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS)  Dennis Erb, Jr. captured his second feature win of the young 2014 racing season on Saturday evening, March 29 in the 3rd Annual 'Thaw Brawl' at LaSalle Speedway in LaSalle, Illinois!  After Mother Nature took home the win in Friday's $2,000 to win weekend opener, Dennis and twenty-eight other competitors converged on the 1/4-mile bullring on Saturday for the 'Thaw Brawl' finale.  The Carpentersville, Illinois ace started his night by clicking off the second quickest lap in his group during qualifying, which put him on the outside of the front row for the start of his heat race.

Following a convincing heat race triumph, Dennis drew the outside of the front row once again for the start of the 75-lap 'Thaw Brawl.'  He immediately took the lead at the drop of the green flag and paced the stellar field through the rough track conditions caused by the harsh Illinois Winter.  When the dust had settled at LaSalle Speedway, Dennis had led each of the 75 circuits to collect the hefty $15,000 payday over Bobby Pierce, Ryan Unzicker, Scott Bloomquist, and Jason Riggs.  Full results from this UMP DIRTcar Series and American Late Model Series battle can be accessed by clicking on www.lasallespeedway.com.

"It was a war of attrition out there and fortunately everything held together on our car and we were able to get a big win," stated Erb, Jr. earlier this week via telephone.  "Everyone knew it was going to be tough to get a smooth track surface with all of the snow, ice, rain, and cold weather that we have had this Winter, but I have to thank the Izzo's and everyone at LaSalle Speedway for doing everything they could to put on the best show possible.  It was good to start out front and stay out front in the feature because it gave you the best chance to keep out of trouble and hit the holes the right way.  I have always enjoyed racing at LaSalle because it is so close to home and you get to race in front of a lot of fans and supporters, so it was nice to be able to put forth a strong showing for them!"

Following the huge win, the Dennis Erb Racing team will turn their focus back to points racing with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, as a trio of $10,000 to win showdowns will be held in the states of Mississippi, Louisiana, and Oklahoma from April 4-6.  Dennis and the rest of the LOLMDS stars will invade Jackson Motor Speedway in Jackson, Mississippi on Friday, Ark-La-Tex Speedway in Vivian, Louisiana on Saturday, and Outlaw Motorsports Park in Muskogee, Oklahoma on Sunday.  Dennis comes into the triple shot of racing action this weekend eleventh in the current version of the LOLMDS points, but only 15 markers out of the top ten.  Additional information about all three races can be found by logging onto www.lucasdirt.com.

Dennis would like to thank all of his sponsors including:  J.R. McBride Leasing, JL Scrap Metals, Kuntz & Company Racing Engines, Petersen Aluminum, Performance Rod & Custom (PRC), C.J.
