2014 Schedule Released

Wheatland, MO (November 20th, 2013) - The Lucas Oil MLRA schedule has taken shape for the 2014 season and boasts a slew of new race tracks, along with a number of tracks fans and drivers are extremely familiar with. "Ernie Leftwich and I have worked extremely hard to put together a quality schedule for 2014," stated Series Director Dan Robinson. "We worked hard to strike a balance between what works well for our northern and southern contingent of drivers and fans. We are also excited to be able to showcase Lucas Oil and our series at a host of new tracks this year too."

The 26th season will get underway on April 4th and 5th at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, NE for the Spring Meltdown. Then it will be on to Lucas Oil Speedway for the MLRA Spring Nationals which has been expanded into a two day show. New tracks in Independence and Davenport, Iowa, dot the schedule on May 9th and 10th. The following weekend the first two of four races will be held at Outlaw Motorsports Park in Muskogee, Oklahoma. The Crown Jewel Lucas Oil Show Me 100 will bring down the month of May.

June looks to prove busiest for the Lucas Oil MLRA with six races on the docket. Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa, Iowa and Lee County Speedway in Donnellson, Iowa are primed for races June 12th and 13th. Familiar venues in Kansas, Humboldt Speedway and Thunder Hill Speedway will commence the following  weekend.  I-80 Speedway and Adams County Speedway will wind up the month.

An Independence Day weekend blowout on July 4th and 5th at the Salina Highbanks Speedway will begin the month of July with a bang. The rest of the month will see the tour compete with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series at Tri City Speedway just outside of St. Louis in Granite City, Illinois. They race again with the LOLMDS at both Lucas Oil Speedway for the Diamond Nationals and I-80 Speedway for the Silver Dollar Nationals. 

The series final weekend in Nebraska is August 8th and 9th at Junction Motor Speedway for the Annual King of the Hill Challenge. Return trips to Thunder Hill Speedway and Lucas Oil Speedway are also confirmed.  Outlaw Motorsports Park picked up dates on both September 19th and 20th. The season is scheduled to end with a new event on October 10th and 11th at Lucas Oil Speedway.

Overall there are 29 confirmed shows with a few more still up in the air. As far as races per state, Missouri leads with eight shows, there are six a piece for Nebraska and Oklahoma. Iowa will hold five events, while there are three visits to tracks in Kansas and a lone stop in Illinois.
