Kansas City, KS (October 6th, 2013) -  Birch Tree, Missouri's, Justin Asplin picked up his first ever super late model win in the #77 B&A Pallet, Hatfield Racing Engines, Rocket, at Lakeside Speedway. Asplin won his heat Friday night and started on the outside pole of the 35 Lap, $3,000 to win event. Rain and severe weather shortened the night just as the feature hit the track. Asplin rolled back onto the 4/10 mile oval on Saturday to finish what he started, and led every lap from the green flag to the checkers. Chris Simpson cruised to a second place finish finish followed by James Shereck, Brad Looney and Will Vaught.

In the second feature of the evening, Terry Phillips fresh off his $10,000 USMTS Modified win, rolled form the pole and led until late when Chris Simpson was able to slip underneath him and hang on to the checkers. The win in Simpson's second at Lakeside Speedway. Phillips was second and Vaught ended the evening third. Tony Jackson Jr and Jesse Stovall completed the top five.

Seventh and fifth place finishes for Lebanon, Missouri's Tony Jackson Jr. were enough to earn the 2013 Lucas Oil MLRA Championship. It was a dream season for Jackson who took his program to new heights this season. In the Sunoco Race Fuels Rookie of the Year chase, Travis Dickes came out on top.

The championship banquet is the final thing on the calendar for the year. It will be held at Harrah's Casino in Kansas City, Friday, November 15th.
