2013 MLRA Series Champion

Wheatland, MO (September 12th, 2013) - With just one race weekend remaining at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, KS on Oct. 4th-5th, 2013 to settle the 2013 Lucas Oil MLRA Championship, MLRA Officials are pleased to announce a special 2013 PRI (Performance Racing Industry) Champion's Package, which will be awarded to the 2013 MLRA Series Champion. "This is a great opportunity for Lucas Oil Products to showcase and introduce the talented drivers that headline one of the country's premier regional dirt late model touring series to many of the top manufacturers and personalities in the motorsports industry but it also give us a chance to showcase the benefits and the reach that Lucas Oil Products has to our drivers and teams." stated MLRA Series Director Dan Robinson

As part of the package, the 2013 MLRA Series Champion will have the opportunity to be special guests of Lucas Oil Products during the week of the PRI Tradeshow held at the Indianapolis Convention Center in Indianapolis, IN on Dec. 12th-14th, 2013. The Champion and guest will also get an exclusive behind the scenes tour of Lucas Oil's impressive Corydon, Indiana bottling and distribution facility as well as other activities throughout the week.

The package will include a $250 travel gift card, (6) nights at the famed Indianapolis Downtown Marriott, an invitation to attend the championship awards banquet for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series on Thursday night Dec. 12th, and a special invitation to the Friday "Lunch with Lucas" media conference at PRI on Dec. 13th. Finally, to cap things off, the 2013 MLRA Champion and guest will have an opportunity to enjoy an Indianapolis Colts Football game on Sunday, Dec. 15th against the Houston Texans from the plush Lucas Oil VIP Suite at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Lebanon, Missouri's Tony Jackson currently holds a narrow 55 point lead over Crane Missouri's Will Vaught in the 2013 Championship standings with two races to go. Springfield, Missouri's Terry Phillips, fresh off his Topless 100 win and impressive sixth place finish at the World 100, sits in the third spot just 85 points out of the lead. Jesse Stovall and Brad Looney round out the top-5. Defending MLRA Champion John Anderson is just outside the top-5 in sixth while Rookie of the Year contenders Travis Dickes and Chase Junghans are seventh and eighth respectively. Justin Asplin and Mark Dotson complete the top-10.
