Casey's General Stores Inks Three Year Agreement |
Media Contact: Trenton Berry Wheatland, MO (January 23, 2014) - Last season the Lucas Oil MLRA welcomed Ankeny, Iowa based Casey's General Stores to the fold in a brand new marketing partnership. With the success of the initial year, Casey's recently signed a three year agreement to continue presenting the Casey's General Stores Hard Charger Award. Last year three-time series champion John Anderson earned the season long award. "Man, we had a pretty tough season, but we really moved forward in several features, so it was nice to be recognized for it," commented Anderson. "I really appreciate Casey's supporting the award, and it's great to hear they'll be backing it going forward." Anderson was awarded $500 at season's end. This season and beyond, the overall Hard Charger will see a $250 increase to $750. Casey's General Stores currently operates 1772 stores throughout the mid-west. They are staunch supporters of dirt racing in several different capacities. "It's great to bring new partners on board and show them the value of partnering with us," said Series Director Dan Robinson. "Our fans and drivers cross paths with Casey's stores all over the region, so it makes this a natural fit." About Casey's General Stores Don followed his advice and purchased the service station with a three-bay garage in Boone, Iowa. Using the knowledge from his store in Des Moines, Don converted the gas station into a convenience store. The Boone store was named "Casey's" by using Kurvin C. Fish's initials. The third store was built in another small community with a population of only 1,500 - Waukee, Iowa. This was the first Casey's built totally from scratch and proved to be the best store yet. At this point, Don realized he was on to something and decided to establish the stores in communities with a population of 5,000 or less. Through the years, Casey's success has been attributed to our clean stores, restrooms, and the friendly employees who pride themselves in customer service. Casey's customers have come to know that inside each store they will find dedicated, helpful, and well-trained employees, exceptional prepared food items, and a clean environment in which to shop. |
