Bub McCool Masters Jackson Motor Speedway Once Again

Vicksburg, MS (09/15/15) – For the second time in three weeks, Bub McCool mastered the ¼ mile oval at Jackson Motor Speedway in his McCool Logging #57J RBT Motorsports/Club 29 Race Car/Jay Dickens Racing Engine Super Late Model for a $2,500 triumph.

Saturday night found Bub competing at Jackson Motor Speedway (Byram, Mississippi). With twenty-one entries registered in for the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS) event, McCool bagged his ninth victory of the season in the A-Main after outdueling Chad Thrash for the top spot. Clay Fisher, Jimmy Cliburn, and Ross Camponovo completed the top five finishers. Extending his MSCCS lead with his sixth series victory of the season, Bub earned a $2,500 payday in the All American 50 finale.

“That track was pretty challenging tonight, but around the midway point of the event I finally found a good groove,” said McCool. “Chad (Thrash) drove a great race there, and I had to get up on the wheel to work past him into the lead. Once we got to the front our car was really good.”

Bub continues to lead the latest MSCCS standings. For full results from this event plus complete series standings, please visit www.StateSeries.com .

Bub now turns his attention to the 2nd Annual Mississippi State Championships, which will be held this Friday and Saturday at Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Mississippi). Dale McDowell Wins Eldora Prelim; Jackson 100 Next

Welcome, North Carolina (09/15/15) – Dale McDowell had a strong outing in his Team Dillon Racing #17m Warrior/ECR Racing Engine Super Late Model during the 45th Annual World 100, which included a preliminary win and a top ten in Saturday’s finale.

On Thursday night Dale McDowell was one of 106 Super Late Models signed in at Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) for the prestigious 45th Annual World 100. With six different groups for qualifying in Thursday’s night show, McDowell earned a 2nd place starting spot for his heat with the 3rd fastest qualifying time in his group. Battling for one of the two UMP DIRTcar sanctioned features, McDowell cruised to an 8-lap heat race win. Coming from 4th in the feature, Dale McDowell notched his third victory of the season on opening night of the three-day event. Bagging a $5,000 victory, Dale ousted Darrell Lanigan, Mike Marlar, Chris Madden, and Shane Clanton in the 25-lapper.

With the rain rescheduling all of Friday night’s preliminary events to Saturday, Dale McDowell transferred into the B-Main after placing 4th in his heat. Leading all 10-laps, Dale cruised to B-Main victory giving him a spot at the $5,000-to-win feature. Advancing nine spots, McDowell logged an 11th place outing.

Later in the night for the 45th Annual World 100, Dale earned a 4th place starting spot for his heat via preliminary action. Battling for a top three spot to make the main event, McDowell edged his way into the A-Main with a 3rd place heat finish. Starting in 14th for the $48,000-to-win feature, Dale improved eights spots recording a solid 6th place finish in the 100-lap affair.

“Clearly we wanted to win the big race, but it was really a good weekend for our team,” said McDowell. “We had to battle a hundred of the best drivers all three days, and to come away with a win and a top ten is something that makes us proud.”

Next on tap for the team will be the 34th Annual Jackson 100 at Brownstown Speedway (Brownstown, Indiana) this weekend, September 18th-19th. Friday night will include time trials for the event, while Saturday’s program will be headlined by heat races, b-mains, and the $20,000-to-win finale for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS).
