Bub McCool Sweeps another Weekend; LOLMDS at Magnolia Next

Vicksburg, MS (06/09/15) – Bub McCool made history over the weekend in his McCool Logging #57J RBT Motorsports/Club 29 Race Car/Jay Dickens Racing Engine Super Late Model by sweeping the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS) events to become the first driver to ever win five-straight, tour events.

Bub McCool continued his 2015 racing season by making the trip to Hattiesburg Motorsports Park (Hattiesburg, Mississippi) on Friday night for an MSCCS race. With a field of twenty-two Super Late Models entered, Bub started the night by setting the fast time in qualifying. He went on to win the dash to earn the pole position for the feature. In the finale McCool never looked back as he went on to score the $2,000 payday, beating out Chad Thrash, Brian Rickman, Jeremy Broadus and Eddie Rickman in the 40-lap feature.

The following night brought Bub to Jackson Motor Speedway (Byram, Mississippi) for another MSCCS event. It didn't take long for Bub to continue his win streak. After setting fast time and winning his dash, McCool captured another victory in the finale. Ray Moore, Brian Rickman, Josh Putman and Chad Thrash rounded out the top five finishers. This victory marked Bub McCool's fifth MSCCS win in a row and sixth win on the 2015 season.

“I just can’t say enough about this team, and the car that they provide me every night,” said McCool with a smile. “It’s really cool to become the first driver to win five MSCCS races in a row. Hopefully we can keep the streak rolling.”

Jason Hughes Wins at Salina; AMS at KLMS Next

Westville, Oklahoma (06/09/15) – A last minute decision to race on Saturday evening turned into Jason Hughes second win of the 2015 campaign. The Oklahoma pilot powered his West Siloam Pawn #12 Red Tail Tackle/Hughes Chassis/ Mullins Racing Engine Open Wheel Modified to the $1,500 win in the Oklahoma Open Wheel Thunder Nationals.

On Friday night Jason Hughes traveled to Salina Highbanks Speedway (Salina, Oklahoma) to pilot his #12 Hughes Chassis Open Wheel Modified. With a stout field of 37 cars, Hughes got things started with a heat race win. As the night progressed Hughes stayed hot as he went on to win the event with Thomas Tillison, Kreg Dobson, Jeremy Vaughn and Tad Davis rounding out the top five competitors.

“Between bad weather and building new cars, I haven’t had much of a chance to race this past month, so it feels great to get back into victory lane again,” noted Hughes. “We’ve got several big money shows coming up soon, so it feels good to know our team is performing at the top level.”

Mark Whitener Nets $5,550 for Powell Memorial Victory

Middleburg, Florida (06/09/15) – Mark Whitener pocket $5,550 for his victory in the 20th Annual Powell Memorial at Volusia Speedway Park (Barberville, Florida). The victory came aboard his Big Frog Motorsports #58 Barry Wright Late Model.

Continuing the 2015 racing season, Mark Whitener and Big Frog Motorsports made the trip to Bubba Raceway Park (Ocala, Florida) for the Mike Peters Open. Friday night’s program was hosted by the United Dirt Late Model Challenge Series (UDLMCS), paying $3,000 to the feature winner. After placing his Late Model in victory lane for the heat, Whitener registered a 2nd place in the feature behind Ivedent Lloyd. Tyler Crowder, Jack Nosbisch, and John Kellum rounded out the top five finishers.

The following night took Big Frog Motorsports to Volusia Speedway Park (Barberville, Florida) for another UDLMCS event. After setting the quick time in qualifying, Mark Whitener won his heat race. After starting 4th in the finale, Mark powered his Late Model into victory lane for the Powell Memorial A-Main. In addition to the $5,000 top prize, Whitener collected $350 for setting fast time and $200 for being the leader at the feature’s halfway mark. The team’s third win of the season came ahead of Kyle Bronson, Ivenent Lloyd, Tyler Clem and Tyler Crowder.

Chad Stapleton Sweeps Weekend at Moler Raceway Park

Edinburgh, Indiana (06/09/15) – Chad Stapleton enjoyed a great weekend of racing action at Moler Raceway Park, where he won the Super Late Model feature on Friday evening and topped the Crate Late Model finale on Saturday night.

Chad Stapleton bagged his third win of the season on Friday evening by topping the action at Moler Raceway Park (Williamsburg, Ohio) in his Rightway Construction #32 Club 29/Jay Dickens Racing Engine Super Late Model.

Chad won his heat before finishing 2nd in the dash to Rod Conley to lock into the feature event in the 2nd starting spot. He would go on to race to the $1,500 victory with Scott Edmisten, John Whitney, Chad Smith, and Lauren Longbrake rounding out the top five finishers at the checkered flag.

Saturday night found Stapleton piloting Todd Burns’ #9 Crate Late Model at Moler Raceway Park. The Edinburgh, Indiana driver would go on to race his way to his second win in as many nights with Tom Collini, Jeff Alsip, Jerry Gibson Jr., and Brian Sims rounding out the top five finishers.
