Magnolia State Cotton Pickin’ 100 Practice Update
Record 125 Cars Take Part in Practice Night

Columbus, Mississippi (09/22/16) The practice night for the annual Magnolia State Cotton Pickin’ 100 presented by Country Pleasin’ Sausage was held at Magnolia Motor Speedway on Thursday night.

 A Magnolia State Cotton Pickin 100 record of 125 cars took part in practice tonight, including 57 Super Late Models. More entries are expected tomorrow, so please make plans to be here with us for a great weekend of racing.

The 2016 Magnolia State Cotton Pickin’ 100 Presented by Cooper’s Country Meat Packers will be headlined by a $20,000-to-win/$1,200-to-start, 100 lap finale for the Super Late Models as competitors look to tame the 3/8-mile oval in hopes of claiming their share of the total purse that approaches $70,000.

George Sisson, “The Outlaw,” has posted a $100 bonus for the fast qualifier in the Super Late Model division.

Also sharing the spotlight will be the NeSmith Late Models chasing a $3,000 top prize and Mississippi Street Stock Series (MSSS) competitors will battle for $2,000-to-win. 602 Late Model Stocks will be competing for $500-to-win on Friday night only, and Factory Stocks will battle for $400-to-win on Saturday night only.  

Magnolia State Cotton Pickin’ Trophies will be presented to the feature winner in each division.

Super Late Model Tire Rule: Must Punch 44: Hoosier: 1350, Spec 21, Crate Racing D21, Lucas 03 and American Racer 48.  NO TOLERANCE.  Must Punch 60: Hoosier: 1600, LM 40, Spec 55, Crate Racing D55, Lucas 06 and American Racer 56.  NO TOLERANCE.

The Factory Stock division will be in action on Saturday night only as they compete for $400-to-win.

Factory Stock Purse
1- $400, 2- $200, 3- $150, 4- $100, 5-$90, 6- $80, 7- $70, 8-$60. 9-$50, 10-$45, 11-24- $40.

602 Late Model Stocks will be in action on Friday night only at they compete for $500-to-Win

1- $500, 2- $300, 3- $200, 4- $150, 5-$100, 6- $90, 7- $80, 8-$70, 9-$60, 10-$50, 11-$45, 12-$40, 13-24- $35.

Friday night will see preliminary action for the Magnolia State Cotton Pickin’ 100 as Super Late Models qualify and run heat races as they attempt to make the feature field.  NeSmith Late Models will also qualify and run heat races.  MSSS Street Stocks will also run their heats. 602 Late Model Stock will run heat races and their feature event.

B-Mains for all divisions will be contested on Saturday night along with Factory Stocks Heat Races and the Magnolia State Cotton Pickin’ 100 Championships Main Event Races.   

Don't forget this Saturday at noon the annual racer’s fund barbeque will be held at Magnolia Motor Speedway. Glenn's Smoking Hot Barbeque will be available in the grandstand area to all racers, pit crew, fans and families. The barbeque lunch is free. We will have a bucket for Donation and this money is used to help out members of our racing family, who might have health issues or any disaster in their life. Please make plans to join us.

FourWheeler’s/ATV’s/SidebySide’s/Golfcarts/Ect. must pay a $25 fee for the weekend.
