FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Just 24 Hours Until the Magnolia State Cotton Pickin’ 100 Comes Alive Columbus, Mississippi (10/07/15) – In just a tick over 24 hours the annual Cooper’s Meat Packers Magnolia State Cotton Pickin’ 100 presented by Premier Ford will come to life at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi as the event will be held on Thursday-Saturday, October 8th-10th, 2015. A star-studded field of Super Late Models are preparing to take aim on the state-of-the-art, 3/8 mile oval. Super Late Model pre-entries from more than a dozen states have been received. Just some of the drivers voicing an intent to enter the event include Billy Moyer, Shane Clanton, Bub McCool, Dale McDowell, Brandon Overton, Bobby Pierce, Steve Francis, Don O’Neal, Garrett Alberson, Riley Hickman, Billy Moyer Jr., Dennis Erb Jr., Jared Landers, Chris Simpson, Frank Heckenast Jr., Jason Feger, Morgan Bagley, Chris Brown, Devin Moran, Matt Westfall, Chase Junghans, Wendell Wallace, Brian Rickman, Rick Rickman, Kyle Beard, Neil Baggett, Ashley Newman, Jack Sullivan, Randy Weaver, Ronny Lee Hollingsworth, Chad Thrash, Hunter Rasdon, Tyler Erb, and a host of others. The 2015 Magnolia State Cotton Pickin’ 100 presented by Cooper’s Country Meat Packers will be headlined by a $20,000-to-win/$1,200-to-start, 100 lap Super Late Model event. Also in action will be NeSmith Late Models battling for $3,000-to-win, MSSS Street Stocks racing for $2,000-to-win, and Factory Stocks competing for $300-to-win on Saturday night ONLY. Super Late Model Tire Rule: Super Late Model Purse 1- $20,000, 2- $10,000, 3- $5,000, 4- $4,000, 5-$3,000, 6- $2,500, 7- $2,000, 8- $1,800, 9- $1,700, 10- $1,600, 11- $1,500, 12- $1,400, 13- $1,300, 14-24 $1,200. NeSmith Late Models will also be in action battling for year $3,000-to-win/$200-to-start with a $100.00 Entry Fee. Magnolia Motor Speedway Rules Apply. NeSmith Late Model Purse 1- $3,000, 2- $1,500, 3- $800, 4- $700, 5-$600, 6- $500, 7- $450, 8- $350, 9- $325, 10- $300, 11- $275, 12- $250, 13- $225, 14-24 $200. The MSSS Street Stock division will be headlined by a $2,000-to-win/$100-to-start with a $75.00 Entry Fee. Magnolia Motor Speedway Rules Apply. The Factory Stock division will be in action SATURDAY NIGHT ONLY as they compete for $300-to-win Saturday Night ONLY. Factory Stock Purse 1- $300, 2- $150, 3- $100, 4- $90, 5-$80, 6- $70, 7- $60, 8-24- $40. Open practice begins Thursday night, October 8th at 7:00 PM for all divisions. Friday night will see preliminary action for the Magnolia State Cotton Pickin’ 100 as Super Late Models qualify and run heat races as they attempt to make the feature field. NeSmith Late Models will also qualify and run heat races. MSSS Street Stocks will also run their heats. B-Mains for all divisions will be contested on Saturday night along with Factory Stocks Heat Races and the Magnolia State Cotton Pickin’ 100 Championships Main Event Races.
