For Immediate Release The Country Pleasin' Sausage Clash at the Mag Now a One-Day Show Columbus, Mississippi (June 17, 2016) Due to heavy afternoon rain Magnolia Motor Speedway has consolidated the Country Pleasin’ Sausage Clash at the MAG into a single-day show on Saturday, June 18. An autograph session is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Saturday with the driver’s meeting scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Hot laps will be at 7:00 p.m. with qualifying and racing action to follow. For race teams onsite the concession stand will begin serving food at 12:30pm on Saturday. Anybody who purchased a three-day, pit passes will be able to redeem a $30 refund at the track. The event will feature the stars and cars of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) competitors attempting to tame the "Black Ice" in a $12,000-to-win/$1,000-to-start, 60-lap event, as the MAV TV cameras tape all of the action for a future airing. Defending series champion and event winner, Jonathan Davenport leads the LOLMDS troops into battle this weekend with two-time champ, Scott Bloomquist nipping at his heels. Dennis Erb Jr., who is fresh off his $100,000 victory last weekend in the 22nd Annual Dirt Late Model Dream at Eldora. Three-time LOLMDS champion, Jimmy Owens will look to again conquer the Mag. Other series drivers expected include Jared Landers, Darrell Lanigan, Don O’Neal, Tim McCreadie, Brandon Sheppard, Earl Pearson Jr., Steve Francis, and leading rookie, Colton Flinner. A strong cast of non-touring drivers will look to upset the LOLMDS regulars. Expected entries include Chris Brown, Brian Rickman, Chad Thrash, Rick Rickman, Gavin Landers, Dylan Ames, Ronny Lee Hollingsworth, David Breazeale, Shay Knight, Neil Baggett, Eric Cooley, Wendell Wallace, Josh Putnam, and many more. Entries from more than a dozen states are expected. Saturday night, June 18th will also see the Mississippi Street Stock Series (MSSS) battling in a $1,000 to win/$100 to start event, while the NeSmith Dirt Late Models will battle for $1,000 to win/$75to start with it being a weekly racing series point’s race and Factory Stocks will battle for $300 to win/$50 to start in a weekly racing series points race. 602 Late Model Stocks will race for $400 to Win/$50 to start. Saturday Night Grandstand Admission is $30.00 for Adults, with Kids 6-10 $5.00, and Kids 5 & under free. Saturday Night Pit Admission is $40.00 for Adults with Kids 6-10 years of age $30.00, and Kids 5 & under free.
