Wheatland, Missouri - September 3rd, 2013 - An action packed weekend of Drag Boat and Dirt Track racing wrapped up this past Sunday evening with Daryl Ehrlich taking home his fifth Top Fuel Hydro win in a row this season to headline the Drag Boat racing winner's list. Brad Looney topped a wild night of Lucas Oil Speedway Dirt Track racing as he captured the Lucas Oil Oil MLRA Main Event win on Saturday night. "I can't say enough about this weekend's action on both tracks." commented General Manager Dan Robinson. "These are truly the best in the business and we are very proud to be able to host them here at Lucas Oil Speedway."

The drag boats hit the water first this weekend as a full day of Test'n Tune got underway on Friday with the majority of the boats taking practice runs to dial their boats in on a picture perfect weather weekend.

Drag Boat qualifying was the order of business on Saturday and what a day it was as the fastest boats on the planet made their qualifying runs to set the field for Sunday's eliminations. In a bit of a surprise, Bryan Sanders out of Houston, TX paced the Top Fuel Hydro field in the SPEEDCO Tequila Sunrise with an ET of 3.67 at 238mph. Fellow Texan Daryl Ehrlich in the "Problem Child" held the runner-up spot as he "struggled" to a 3.72 at 236mph. Jarrett Silvey in the Lucas Oil Speed Sports boat continued to fight steering issues forcing Lucas Oil Drag Boat Series Safety Officials to put him in a "Safety Pass" mode until issues with the boat could be resolved. Silvey ultimately made a solo pass early on Sunday morning that looked to be picture perfect until just near the 1000' mark, the boat made a hard left turn destroying the boat. Silvey was transported to the hospital for observation but was awake and alert. He was released later in the day. Complete qualifying results are available at www.LucasOilDragBoats.com.

In Lucas Oil MLRA Dirt Late Model action on Saturday evening Republic, Missouri's Brad Looney debuted a brand new Capital Race Car and drove to a convincing win over Springfield, Missouri's Terry Phillips. MLRA Points Leader Tony Jackson Jr. captured the third spot with Will Vaught fourth and Matt Johnson in fifth. Complete story, video recap courtesy of www.RacinDirt.com and updated points standings are available at www.MLRAracing.com.

A special $1,000 to win 30-lap main event in the Pitts Homes USRA Modifieds ran in support of the MLRA Late Models and it was easily the race of night as John Allen held off a hard charging Terry Schultz to win in a photo finish at the AAA Start/Finish Line. Perry, Kansas' Nic Bidinger charged from 14th to third at the finish. Steve Muilenburg and Matt Dotson were fourth and fifth at the finish respectively.

Complete results and updated points standing are available at www.LucasOilSpeedway.com

The Lucas Oil Drag Boat Series concluded the weekend's events with final eliminations on Sunday, September 1st. Pro Category winners included Shawn Reed out of Lake Tapps, WA in Pro Mod, Shawnee, Oklahoma's Randy Ball in Top Alcohol Flat, and Round Rock, Texas' Daryl Ehrlich in Top Fuel Hydro. The Sportsman Winners list had Poolville, Texas' Johnny Lackey take the win in Modified Eliminator, Ronnie Smith from Central City, KY in Pro Eliminator, Warnego, Kansas' Todd Ebert in QE, and Tyler Salsman in Stock Eliminator. PWC winners included Ryan O'Hara and Cole Mcintyre. Ronald Jones captured the top spot in the River Racer category.

Complete Drag Boat event results are available at www.LucasOilDragBoats.com

Next up for the Lucas Oil Speedway is the Pro Pulling Nationals Truck and Tractor Pull this Saturday, September 7th as the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League Champion's Tour invades the Lucas Oil Speedway for their only appearance of 2013. Classes in action include the E3 Spark Plugs Super Modified Tractors, iON Camera Unlimited Super Stock Tractors, SPEEDCO Modified 4WD Trucks, Optima Batteries Super Modified 2WD Trucks, Protect the Harvest Pro Stock Tractors and Super Farm Tractors.
