Tentative 2015 Lucas Oil Speedway Event Schedule Released!

WHEATLAND, MO (November 6th, 2014) - As Lucas Oil Speedway enters it's 10th season of racing action in Wheatland, Missouri, speedway officials are pleased to release the following tentative 2015 event schedule.

"With record attendance in 2014 and high expectations for 2015, we are pleased to release the following schedule as we continue to strive to provide great family friendly affordable entertainment in our 10th season of action here in Wheatland." commented Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Dan Robinson.

Complete details regarding event specifics and ticket information will be released in the coming weeks.
The 2nd Annual MLRA Spring Nationals on April 9th-11th will kick off the on-track competition in 2015 while the 2nd Annual Lucas Oil MLRA Fall Nationals and Factory Stock Shootout on October 8th-10th will wrap things up in October.  

12 Lucas Oil Weekly Championship Series events plus 12 Special Event weekends are slated for 2015.  

The annual open competitor Test & Tune session will take place in it's normal spot on Saturday, April 4th. The Mad Dog Demolition Derby Night of Destruction and the Rex Merritt Racing School will take a one-year hiatus and will not take place in 2015 with Easter Weekend occupying that first weekend in April in 2015. Both events are expected to return in 2016.  

The Lucas Oil MLRA will be in action for their first appearance of 2015 with the 2nd Annual MLRA Spring Nationals event scheduled for April 9th-11th. The first two stand alone Weekly Championship Series events will be held on April 18th and 25th as all four weekly racing series classes will be in action including the ULMA Late Models, USRA Modifieds, Factory Stocks, and the USRA B-Mods. 

The 4th Annual Impact Signs, Awnings, and Wraps Open Wheel Showdown kicks off the month of May on May 2nd as the Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region Winged Sprint Cars, the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget Series, and the WAR Wingless Auto Racing Sprint Cars all take to the Lucas Oil Speedway for a huge night of open wheel racing. Weekly Championship Series racing will be held on May 9th and May 16th.

The 23rd Annual Lucas Oil Show-Me 100 Presented by ProtectTheHarvest.com is set to take place on May 21st-23rd and will feature the return of the MLRA Cowboy Classic on Thursday night to kick off the mega event as it culminates with the 100 Lap-$30,000 to win main event on Saturday, May 23rd featuring the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. In addition to the stars of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and the Lucas Oil MLRA, the Pitts Homes USRA Modifieds are also scheduled to be in action all three nights in 2015 during Show-Me 100 weekend.

The month of June gets underway with the fifth weekly show of the 2015 season before the Lucas Oil Drag Boat Racing Series invades the Lucas Oil Speedway for the first time in 2015 on June 12th-13th for the 4th Annual John Haas Memorial Drag Boat Classic featuring the wild 250mph Top Fuel Hydros along with a full night of Weekly Racing Series action on June 13th. The first appearance of the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour Winged Sprint Cars hits the "Diamond of Dirt Tracks" the following Saturday night June 20th along with the WAR Wingless Auto Racing Series Sprint Cars. June wraps up with round #7 of the Weekly Championship Series on June 27th.  

Highlights for July include a special Thursday Night Thunder edition of the Lucas Oil Speedway Weekly Championship Series as we celebrate Independence Day on Thursday, July 2nd along with a huge fireworks show to cap off the evening and jump start the holiday weekend. The 9th Annual CMH Diamond Nationals falls on July 11th featuring the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and the Lucas Oil MLRA as the top late model drivers in the country battle for the $10,000 top prize. Weekly Championship Series action takes place on July 18th. The Lucas Oil Monster Truck Nationals moves up in the schedule in 2015 on July 25th with several new features in the works.  

The month of August starts out with the 10th Weekly Championship Series event of 2015 on Saturday, August 1st followed by the 6th Annual USMTS Slick Mist Shootout on August 8th. Lucas Oil Speedway will take the weekend of Saturday, August 15th off as kids head back to school. It is also the opening weekend of the Missouri State Fair and the Knoxville Sprint Car Nationals. The height of the Weekly Championship Series points battle dominates the last two weekends of August on the 22nd and 29th as the Season Champions will be crowned on Saturday, August 29th.  

The stars of the Lucas Oil Drag Boat Racing Series make their final appearance of 2015 on Lake Lucas on September 4th-6th for the 5th Annual Diamond Drag Boat Nationals. The Lucas Oil MLRA will once again take to the track on Drag Boat Weekend on Saturday, September 5th as the Larry Phillips Memorial moves to Wheatland for the first time in 2015.  

There will be no racing on Saturday, September 12th with the Professional Bull Riders just down the road in Springfield. The Lucas Oil Pro Pulling Nationals featuring the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League Champions Tour will move back slightly in the month to September 19th. The final Sprint Car event of the 2015 Season will wrap up on September 25th and 26th with the 5th Annual ASCS/WAR Jesse Hockett/Daniel McMillin Memorial.

After a very successful first year in 2014, the final event of the season is once again the 2nd Annual MLRA Fall Nationals along with the Factory Stock Shootout with details to be released at a later date.
