WAYCROSS, GA (September 20, 2016) - The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will return to Brownstown Speedway, September 23rd-24th for the 37th Annual Jackson 100. The biggest names in dirt late model racing will converge on the 1/4-mile bullring, all vying for the $20,000 top prize.

Jonathan Davenport of Mount Airy, NC will return to defend his Jackson 100 title. In 2015, Davenport took the lead on lap 49 from Brandon Sheppard, and dashed to his first-ever win in the historic event. Trailing Davenport to the finish line was Mike Marlar, Devin Moran, Sheppard, and Don O'Neal. The stars of the LOLMDS are once again set to battle a strong contingent of local and regional standouts.

The festivities will kick off on Friday night, September 23rd with Hot Laps and Miller Welders Time Trials for the LOLMDS. Racing action on Friday night will also include the 4th Annual Bowman 50, which pays $2,000-to-win for Indiana Pro Late Models. A complete program for Pure Stocks, Hornets, and MMSA Mini Sprints is also on tap for Friday night, September 23rd.

The LOLMDS will take center stage on Saturday night, September 24th, featuring Heat Races, B-Mains, and the 100-lap, $20,000-to-win Jackson 100 main event. The Modifieds and Super Stocks will also be in competition on Saturday night.

The 36th Annual Rhino Ag Dirt Track World Championship - Presented by Optima Batteries will take place on October 13th-15th at Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, OH. The crown jewel event will serve as the season finale for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series - featuring a 100-lap, $100,000 to win main event on Saturday, October 15th.

This blockbuster weekend will get underway on Thursday night, October 13th with preliminary events for the Modified division. Action on Friday night, October 14th includes the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series with Hot Laps and two rounds of qualifying Heat Races, with the passing points total from both rounds determining Saturday night's B-Main and Feature line-ups.

n Saturday night, a driver autograph session will take place in the vendor midway area. Afterwards, consolation events for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will be held, followed by the $4,000-to-win Modified main event and the Jim Dunn Memorial Non-Qualifier Race. The top-26 drivers that did not transfer into the Dirt Track World Championship (via preliminary events) will be eligible to start the $3,000-to-win, $200-to-start, non-qualifiers race - held prior to the main event. The winner of the 30-lap, Jim Dunn Memorial has the choice of keeping their $3,000 winnings, or forfeiting their earnings to start last in the main event. The 100-lap, $100,000-to-win, Rhino Ag Dirt Track World Championship - Presented by Optima Batteries main event will cap off the weekend action.
