Impending Storm Cancels GoMuddy.com NSL 360 Series Opening Event at I-30

Inside Line Promotions - WINDOM, Minn. (March 7, 2016) - The inaugural season for the GoMuddy.com National Sprint League 360 Sprint Car Series will have to wait a couple more weeks before it kicks off.

Series officials and I-30 Speedway Owner Tracey Clay have cancelled the 28th annual COMP Cams Short Track Nationals presented by Hoosier Tires, which was scheduled for this Thursday through Saturday at the quarter-mile oval in Little Rock, Ark., because of an impending severe storm that is projected to drop several inches of rain throughout this week.

"Unfortunately the weather had a huge effect on us last fall when the event was originally scheduled and Mother Nature isn't playing nice again this week," Clay said. "With an estimated eight-to-nine inches of rain this week we felt the best decision was to cancel the event early before any teams or fans headed this way."

Tickets that have been purchased may be used at any non-World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series event at I-30 Speedway this season or refunded through the track. Entry fees that were sent in were not deposited.

The GoMuddy.com NSL 360 Series is now scheduled to make its debut March 25-26 at 81 Speedway in Park City, Kan., for the 6th annual Park City Cup/Air Capital Shootout. That $10,000-to-win event, which has a practice night on March 24 that includes a special qualifying session with bonus money on the line, is co-sanctioned with the GoMuddy.com NCRA/NSL 360 Series.

The 28th annual COMP Cams Short Track Nationals presented by Hoosier Tires was co-sanctioned by the GoMuddy.com NSL 360 Diamond Region, which will now open the 2016 season on April 9 at I-30 Speedway.
