$13,000 LoneStar Speedway Awards Bash, Sunday, Nov. 30

Kilgore, TX (11/11/14) by DarinShort.com. Sunday, November 30th at 1pm, LoneStar Speedway (LSS) drivers, crews, families, fans, track sponsors and track workers will gather at the speedway to celebrate and commemorate the 2014 LSS racing season with its annual Awards Bash and point’s fund distribution.

As in 2013, $13,000 in cash, plus awards, will be presented to drivers that supported the speedway throughout the 2014 racing season.

There were 12 points races scheduled in 2014, and all 12 events were completed (ironically, the same was the case in 2013). The guaranteed minimum point fund was $10,000, since all the races got in the track was able to pay out more than advertised.

There was only one weather-delayed points event, and that was the March 28th season opener with the World of Outlaws Late Model Series, which, the points divisions were able to race the following night.

As in years’ past, there was no association fee or sanctioning fees that LSS drivers had to pay to be eligible for the point fund money. Drivers simply registered their cars and competed in LSS events to be eligible.

The LSS Awards Bash will take place on the heels of the November 29th $34,000 Turkey Nationals, which features $5,000 to win and $500 to start for the SUPR Topless Late Models. All three LoneStar points divisions will be racing – however this is not a point’s race. Click http://www.LoneStarSpeedway.com for complete event details. Action kicks off at 2pm.
