QUADRUPLE-HEADER! 3rd LoneStar $UMMER $IZZLER - SATURDAY JULY 25

What has essentially become a quadruple-header (due to a previous rainout), the 3rd Annual LoneStar $ummer $izzler, held on Saturday July 25, will feature $1,300 to win in the "For the Love of Alex, Stop Texting and Driving" Limited Modifieds, $1,200 to win $ummer $izzler Modifieds, plus $500 to win, each, in the STEM (Southern Topless Economy Modifieds) Touring Series and Factory Stocks. The Beginner Factory Stocks will round out the 5-division racing program with a feature race. The event will be held at LoneStar Speedway (LSS), located near Kilgore TX, right off of I-20 and Exit 583 (then 1/2 mile north and 1 mile east).

Race fans can take in this huge night of racing for just $15 adult general grandstand admission (ages 12-64). Kids ages 6-11 are $5, while Seniors and Active Military (with I.D.) are $12. All pit passes for all ages remain at $30.

The $ummer $izzler Modified feature is a bumped up purse for the division, with no added entry fee or added pit passes. This event always brings a strong contingent of Modified teams from across the area, and their feature race payback is as follows: $1,200 - $600 - $500 - $400 - $300 - $200 - $180 - $160 - $140 - $120 - $100...to start. Any Modified non-qualifier/non-starter will receive $50. Mufflers are not required at LSS. The Modified feature is 25 laps.

Trisha and Robert Taylor have stepped up to help raise awareness of the dangers of texting and driving, combined with a long list of sponsors they have assembled, raising the competitor purse in the Limited Modified division as well - making it one of the largest one-night, no-entry fee events for this division in the state of Texas!

On April 26, 2010 Trisha and Robert Taylor received the call that forever changed their lives, as their daughter Alex had been in an accident and was being taken by air flight to East Texas Medical Center, and would not survive her injuries. The accident was attributed to texting and driving.

Robert is veteran LSS driver, along with his wife Trisha, continue to help raise awareness of the dangers of texting and driving, at their Facebook page titled For the love of Alex Stop Texting and Driving. All Limited Modified non-qualifiers will receive $30. There are no entry fees in this division and mufflers are not required. The feature is 25 laps.

But that's just part of the action at LoneStar on July 25th, as the Eldorado Chevrolet/Mazda Southern Topless Economy Modified Touring Series (STEM) will be competing in heat and feature events. Topless Modified drivers from throughout the region will be on hand, as this is the only sanctioned event in their division on this date.
Fans can expect to see STEM Series drivers such as: Justin Blackburn, Brayton Godwin, Bubba Long, Glen Farmer, Marsh Landers, Chad Owens, Marc Madison, Trever Geter, James Farmer, Eric Sanderson, Patrick Fields, Cameron Wilson, Gil Faber, Ricky Brewer, Eddie Dogget, Dennis Bowles, Kelly Welborn , Andrew Smith, Larry Bell and several more from throughout the area.

The STEM feature payback is as follows: $500 - $350 - $250 - $200 - $180 - $160 - $140 - $120 - $100 - 80 - 60...to start (24th). Any STEM non-qualifier will receive $60. No mufflers are required.

The super-popular and drama-filled LoneStar Factory Stocks will also receive a handsome purse bump at the $ummer $izzler, again, without an entry fee or added pit pass cost, which will result in a great field of race teams. Their feature race payback is as follows: $500 - $300 - $200 - $180 - $160 - $140 - $120 - $100 - $80 - $60 - $60 - $40...to start. All Factory Stock non-qualifiers will receive $20. No mufflers are required.

After a couple of rainouts, the LoneStar Beginner Factory Stocks will finally get to race again on July 25th. Their feature race will round out the nights' racing action.
