Lanigan leads World of Outlaws LMS teams' assault on LoneStar March 28

Kilgore, TX (3/19/14) by DarinShort.com. Next Friday, March 28th, the top Late Model touring drivers in the nation will take on the high banks of LoneStar Speedway (LSS) in the 4th Annual High Banks Havoc.

A massive purse is posted, with $10,000 earmarked for the winner of the 50 lap World of Outlaws LMS (WoOLMS) event.

After a month break in the WoOLMS schedule, leading the hungry pack of Outlaw teams to LSS is Darrell Lanigan, who recently unveiled Club 29 Race Cars. Lanigan has already picked up three wins in 2014, including one in WoOLMS competition with the new car.

Following Kentucky's Lanigan in WoOLMS points, is Illinois lead foot Brandon Sheppard, who has been substituting for Rocket Chassis house car driver Josh Richards since the beginning of the season. The 2013 WoOLMS champion has been out with medical issues.

Completing the top 10 in WoOLMS points, include drivers: Brady Smith (WI), Rick Eckert (PA), Tim Fuller (NY), Shane Clanton (GA), Ivedent Lloyd Jr. (FL), Tim McCreadie (NY), Morgan Bagley (TX) and Frankie Heckenast Jr. (IL).

Bagley, driver of the P&W Iron Works, P&W Sales, Rocket Chassis is on a real ‘Texas’ streak coming into this event. He picked up the $5,000 to win Turkey Nationals at LoneStar Speedway (the last Late Model event at LSS, held on Nov. 30), and took home the checkers at Texas Motor Speedway’s Port-A-Cool® World Dirt Track Championship two weeks ago.

With much of the nation’s Late Model schedule being dormant on this date, fans can expect a strong contingent of touring invaders for this event. An excellent field of WoOLMS cars will be on hand.

The current 10-day forecasts show dry and temperatures in the 70’s, which will make for spectacular racing conditions.
