BROWNSTOWN, IN (September 18, 2015) - The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will return to action at Brownstown Speedway, Saturday September 19th for the 36th Annual Jackson 100. The biggest names in dirt late model racing will converge again tomorrow night on the 1/4-mile bullring, all vying for the $20,000 top prize.
In Friday Night's preliminary action, Mike Marlar set the Miller Welders Fast Time in Group A of Time Trials and secured the pole position for the Eibach Springs Heat Race #1. Earl Pearson Jr. clocked in two-tenths of a second behind Marlar in Group A, but was quick enough to lock-down the pole position for Saturday night's CV Products Heat Race #2. Jared Landers managed the fastest time in Miller Welders Time Trials Group B, earning the pole position for Simpson Race Products Heat Race #3. Don O'Neal was just twenty-two one-hundredths behind Landers, but nabbed the pole position for QA1 Heat Race #4.
Events at the famed Jackson County Fairgrounds speedplant will get under way at 3:30PM with a Dirt Racing Outreach service in the midway area. Fans will get a chance to meet and greet their favorite drivers at the 4:30PM autograph session, also in the midway area. On the track, the LOLMDS will take center stage at 6:30PM with Hot Laps followed by four Heat Races, two B-Mains, and the 100-lap, $20,000-to-win Jackson 100 main event. Modifieds and Super Stocks will also be in competition on Saturday night.
