The Friday, April 22nd event, dubbed the Steel Valley 50, has become one of the most anticipated events of the season at the 3/8-mile oval. The nation's top dirt late model drivers will battle in a complete program of: Miller Welders Time Trials, Heat Races, B-Mains, and a 50-lap, $10,000-to-win main event. The Crate Late Models will also be in competition on Friday, April 22nd, high-lighted by a 30-lap, $2,000-to-win main event. Hagerstown Speedway, known as the "Capital of Dirt Racing", will host the nation's elite dirt late model teams, along with an always-stout group of regional drivers on Saturday, April 23rd, for the running of the 35th Annual Stanley Schetrompf Founders Day Classic.The ultra-competitive Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series has seen an impressive streak of eight different winners in eight races at Hagerstown Speedway. Jimmy Owens returns as the defending champion of the event. The 35th Annual Stanley Schetrompf Founders Day Classic will be a complete show with Miller Welders Time Trials, Heat Races, B-Mains, and a $12,000 to win, 60-lap main event. Joining the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series as support classes at Hagerstown Speedway will be the Late Model Sportsman and Pure Stock divisions.
