JRI Shocks and Dunn-Benson Ford to Sponsor 2013 Rookie of the Year Program

WAYCROSS, GA (January 24, 2013) - Officials of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series are pleased to announce the signing of a title and presenting sponsor for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Rookie of the Year program. JRI Shocks and Dunn-Benson Ford have agreed to be the title and presenting sponsor of the Rookie of the Year program for 2013. The JRI Shocks Rookie of the Year, presented by Dunn-Benson Ford is sure to attract some young talented dirt late model drivers to compete for the coveted award.

The driver that wins the rookie of the year honors in 2013 will earn $10,000 in cash and a complete set of JRI Shocks valued at over $3,500 at the year-end awards banquet. The rookie of the year runner-up will take home $2,500 in cash and numerous product awards for his efforts as well. Various other companies have also contributed to this year's rookie of the year program to attract more racers than ever before.

JRI Shocks, based in Mooresville, NC has increased their involvement drastically in dirt late model racing over the past four years to establish a footprint in the industry. Brannon Earnest is the short track specialist for the company and instrumental in gaining a bigger market share of the dirt late model industry. Racers using JRI Shocks have won some of the biggest dirt late model events in the country last year, along with helping Jonathan Davenport win the 2012 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Rookie of the Year title.

"We're very excited to expand our involvement in the dirt late model industry and increase our presence on the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series in 2013. Being the title sponsor of the Rookie of the Year program with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will give our company an opportunity to continue to increase our brand awareness and reach new customers within the series and the industry as a whole. We're looking forward to a great year with the series and working with everyone at Lucas Oil," stated Brannon Earnest, Short Track Specialist for JRI Shocks.

Dunn-Benson Ford is based in Dunn, NC and is well known in the dirt late model and motorsports industry. Carlton and Kemp Lamm, owners of the popular Ford dealership, have been involved in the dirt late model industry for many years. Carlton and Kemp Lamm have fielded racecars for numerous well-known drivers, as well as some young up-and-coming drivers in the sport. They have sponsored race teams, drivers, race tracks, and racing series and have even won the sport's biggest event - the "World 100" in 2006 at Eldora Speedway with driver Earl Pearson Jr. Carlton and Kemp retired from racing several years ago, but wanted to stay involved in the sport on some level.

"We love dirt late model racing and we have been very fortunate to be associated with so many great people along the way and made new friendships that will last forever with us. We feel Forrest Lucas has a great vision for the sport and has the right people in place that can help guide the sport into the future and continue to help it grow. Being associated with the Rookie of the Year program is our way of wanting to see more young talented racers stay in dirt late model racing and develop to be the next stars," stated Kemp Lamm, General manager of Dunn-Benson Ford.

Racers that are interested in competing for the JRI Shocks Rookie of the Year- presented by Dunn-Benson Ford, must submit their application for approval to the series director. All racers must make their announcement to compete for the ROY on the series at the April 6th event at Lonestar Speedway in Kilgore, TX.
